OMG! Niantic Finally Unbanned My Account After 8 Months In Pokemon GO! Pokémon GO High Level F2P Gameplay! ★ On June 18th, 2018, my original account was wrongfully suspended.. and now 8 months later it has finally been unbanned by Niantic! I never thought this day would come and I still can’t believe I actually got it back.
I’m still kind of at a loss for words, so I apologize for not being able to convey my thoughts properly. I honestly never thought I would get his account back and truly accepted that it was gone forever. I would still try every once in awhile to appeal the ban, but always get expected the same automated responses.
This time around it was a bit different though. The Global Community Manager of Pokemon GO (Liz George) had recently posted a tweet about helping trainers with reported issues, and how documentation is important. Given my suspension was a very unusual case, I commented my story as a response to her tweet. Unexpectedly, some of my locals saw the tweet and gave there thoughts as well in regards to my account. Now I originally didn’t think too much of this, and thought that it wouldn’t make a difference in the end. Regardless though, I went ahead and appealed the ban again and referred to her tweet in my response.
A few days later I got an email from Niantic stating that they had unbanned my account. I was in true disbelief at first and started freaking out when I logged into my account and it actually worked. I’m not sure if Liz had anything to do with this, but it seemed too much like a coincidence that I got my account back after posting my story. Whether it was simply Niantic support or her push in the direction, I just wanna say thanks to whoever was able to help me get my account back after 8 months. Most people are saying I should be compensated for losing out on so much, but I am honestly just so grateful to have it back.
