It is recently discovered that if you apply at least these 3 bonuses to Karen’s stage in Champion Stadium Master Mode:
– Max HP ↑ 2 (100 points)
– Max HP ↑ 4 (200 points)
– Max HP ↑ 6 (300 points)
Karen’s HP becomes bugged, and her partner Pokemon automatically faints (without closeup animation) after her Sync Move.
I repeat, this bug only applies to Karen in Master Mode. It won’t work on other Elite 4 members or Lance.
One logical assumption made by u/phoenixthree is that the HP value is underflowed upon using the Sync Move. As a result, Houndoom has an incorrect HP value due to the bonuses and the game just assumes it died.
Note: AoE moves and Hail & Sand setters may prevent this bug from working.
In this video, I shall show you how to replicate this bug, so you can save your powerful Sync Pairs for other stages. Don’t let Dena find out, ok?
