Pokemon Masters – Champion Stadium Johto – Week 4 – F2P Friendly Run (Master Mode, 7500 Points)

Champion Stadium – Week 4 – Master Mode 7500 Points – F2P “Friendly”
(By F2P Friendly, this means no 5 star gacha units)

Surprisingly easy week for F2P friendly runs. Only one I struggled with was Koga, since there are obviously no good F2P ground types.

1) Will (0:00)
2) Bruno (2:36)
3) Karen (5:58)
4) Koga (8:17)
5) Lance (14:23)

1) Will – Serperior (6EX, 2/5), Mewtwo (5/5, 20/20), Chandelure (5/5)
Literally the same team I used in my previous video. Rosa syncs first for the 6EX boost, then Shadow Ball spam.

Grids: Rosa goes for MPR and MGR.
Parameters: Give the mostly attack buffs. Serperior can take a few hits, and we should be able to sync twice.

2) Bruno – Mew (5* 0/20, 5/5), Torchic, Swanna (5*, 3/5, 8/20)
In my previous run I used Alakazam instead of Torchic. Torchic still gets the job done, all it really needs to do is get that crit rate up. Mew sync nukes, Swanna heals. Small amount of RNG needed, but fairly easy battle.

Grids: Mew goes for Inertia, Blind Spot, Shifty Striker, Agile Entry, Sync Power. Swanna goes for standard healing.
Parameters: Mixture of attack and HP buffs.

3) Karen – Lucario (5*, 0/20, 3/5), Medicham, Masquerain (3/5)
Masquerain tanks Dark Pulse very well, and Karen’s sync brings Lucario down to Power Reserves 5 range. Medicham’s Sure Hit bypasses the annoying evasion that Karen uses. Lucario is a monster at 5 stars, with nearly 500 attack. Korrina seems to be criminally underrated these days. People love their multipliers but seem to forget that in Champion Stadium, we can tune the parameters to get us into Power Reserves range fairly easy, making Lucario a harder hitting striker in this format.

Grids: Lucario goes for Power Reserves 5 and power nodes.
Parameters: Tune them so that we get into Power Reserves range after the first sync. This means we mostly want to give them Attack buffs.

4) Koga – Seviper, Ariados, Starmie (5*, 3/5)
Basically this battle depends on RNG from MP Refresh and Ridicure. Getting poisoned is bad, but it’s not the end of the world. We can just let Starmie sit there at +6 evasion and it can heal off some damage with Ridicure. Not very consistent, maybe this is around 15 to 20 percent win rate, but it’s better than nothing.

Grids: Starmie goes for HP nodes, Ridicure, Friendly Healing
Parameters: Get all the HP, Defense, shields.

5) Lance – Empoleon (5*, 3/5), Probopass, Cryogonal
Barry is a very competent F2P water striker. All we really need is 2 syncs to kill off the middle. We use Cryogonal here for its double endurance, which buys us enough time to get the second sync. Brilliant strategy if I say so myself, making good use of some of these niche sync pairs. The battle itself has a bit of luck involved. First turn you want him to use X Speed All, or hope he misses with Fire Fang.

Grids: Main things you need here are Inertia and MP Refresh for the +3 crit.
Parameters: Tune the parameters so that you can survive the first sync. (Take all the countdowns, take all the attack, except +5 attack)
