Champion Stadium – Unova Challenge Week 35
(26 April 2021 – 2 May 2021)
As usual, a rather more f2p friendly options against Master Mode, scoring 7,500 points as a whole. Again, just want to clarify that my definition of f2p friendly include all story units, legendary event units, and all 3*/4* gacha units (i.e. No 5* Gacha units). I believe with few months of playing without paying a single penny, you should be able to get all these units easily.

– Brief explanation of each battle style
– Team compositions
– Parameters
– Strategy during battles
Here’s some notes when using these teams against the matches:
1) Shauntal (Ground Weakness)
As there is no decent Ground f2p strikers, stall strategy will still always work.
2) Marshal (Flying Weakness)
Initial plan was to use Swanna as main striker, pairing her with Medicham and Pelipper (Rain dance). Apparently didn’t workout, Opponent’s continuous Close Combats are too much for Swanna. No choice but to brute force with Palkia’s ultimate Hydro Pump abusive power.
3) Grimsley (Fire Weakness)
Burn + Trap stalls works great against CS stages with fire weakness! I got lucky with Mew’s RNG here, ideally you want to use a decent tank with defense buff (e.g. Steelix, Swanna, Torterra, etc). So gonna revisit fire weakness stage with Ho-oh when his grid is out!
4) Caitlin (Electric Weakness)
Standard Sync Nuke strategy, i.e. Sync twice before opponent could even sync once. For those who can’t achieve this, you can check out my detailed CS guide at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vClKmTL6IrA&t=20s , starting from 03:58. Also note that I use Torchic to tank here, I would suggest to use other decent tank because Torchic easily get wiped out before your 2nd sync.
5) Alder (Rock Weakness)
Again, no decent Rock F2P Striker. So poison stall is a brilliant alternative. Xerneas is just too much.
