I wanted to do a full-on Kanto and Johto sync pairs for the villain arc, but rock weak got in the way. So we have famous Kanto and Johto sync pairs of Ingo, Emmet, and Zinnia and their definitely not Unova and Hoenn region Pokemon.
With only Onix and Kingdra for on type options (and no I am not poison stalling two rounds), the rock and dragon weak stages were just not worth it for my sanity.
0:00 – Lucian (Round 1)
With more effective sync buffs, it helps with the increased ghost type damage with Giovanni (and this was with the buffed special defense from Lucian). All 3 sync pairs from the Kanto and Johto region.
3:04 – Aaron (Round 2)
We didn’t even take advantage of the status condition parameter here. I’m really happy to have a chance to run Arcanine in an actual 2K run the first time. Hyper Beam in the sun goes brr. And I think SS Morty will get the 3/5 treatment eventually. I really like the unit the more I use it.

5:30 – Bertha (Round 3)
With increased stat lowering effects, it helped a bit but not much. Without Steel Zone, SS Giovanni still does good damage. Still managed to get 3 Kanto/Johto sync pairs in.
8:06 – Flint (Round 4)
Kept this till round 4 for the special damage reduction. Just relying on Onix was not working. Even if I got the mid down, the sides were just too much. This stopped my Kanto/Johto run, but still sneaked Onix in there…
10:38 – Cynthia (Champion)
I didn’t even notice the permanent field effects when I joined the battle. Clair was….not great. I still wanted to have two Kanto sync pairs, so switched to BP Zinnia. It wasn’t too bad of a battle. That’s another 10K MM run done!
