Would be cool to have it without all those 3DS gimmicks like street pass/spot pass stuff, the thing that you get from having your console in sleep mode and all that. The game itself is great, I just found all the gimmicks to be overwhelming. Did it need a town building mini game and a build your own attack system AND a summon a different player mechanic??

Absolutely hated the original Bravely Default. The pacing was just awful.
Bravely Second and BD2 were much much better games IMO.

There was a time when one of my biggest wishes was a home console Bravely Default remake that looks like its cutscenes. Bravely Default 2 showed me what’s realistic to expect and that’s not nearly as exciting.

I hate how they wait so long for this shit. I was 30 when BD came out and now I’ll be 40 in January. 10 years? Really? That game would have been a huge seller on the Switch had it launched in 2018 or so. These company decisions are a joke.

My backlog is pretty large, and this is a big reason I held off of Squeenix games lately. Quality games as of late though!

Never finished Bravely Second, but remembered grinding and still having difficulty on the true ending. If I remember, only Tiz and Ribgabel survived the last hit, I used a “online buddy” along with some attack, and the buddy ended up doing massive damage, finishing the fight. It was neat when the rift into the world where “these beings play as a god (however it goes)” to the BD world/and others, showing your face in the rift in the sky (nit that well, but neat).

I’m surprised at how few 3DS games have come over to Switch. There’s a ton that could be ported and it sure would be nice with the e-shop closing down

As awesome as it would be for the first game to come to Switch I just can’t justify playing it again. There are too many RPGs in my backlog that I haven’t played yet.
