I really do enjoy this game but lately all the communication errors make it hard to continue playing until they are fixed. It’s just such a bummer to have these so often.

Is that 2.7 across all regions or only in Japan? While that’s certainly a high number (especially because it doesn’t count digital sales), I gotta say, I expected it to sell quite a bit more considering how much attention it was getting on release.
Edit: I’ve been informed that this is sales for just Japan, not for all regions. That makes much more sense.

My first Splatoon game and can say it certainly won’t be my last. I like this game so much im tempted to buy Splatoon 2 just to do the octo expansion.
Seriously I think the clever use of gameplay mechanics in the single player levels is nearly as good as any Mario game. I wouldn’t mind a single player spin off where it’s exactly like Mario with different worlds and levels.
They really should start plugging inklings into different genres. I mean a tactics game would be so obvious with the movement and different weapons and abilities.

It’s funny how much negativity some Nintendo 1st party games have pre-launch on Reddit and Twitter. After-launch you really see how blown out of propotion it was cause the game is fantastic and doing amazingly.

I somehow put 50 hours into it in a month. Which I haven’t done since… Xenoblade 3… the month before…
And the single player is fantastic 🙂 I personally found splatoon 1 and 2 to have pretty boring campaigns. But then octo expansion blew both of them out of the water. I’m happy to say 3’s campaign definitely took the best of its DNA from octo expansion to make a fantastic campaign again 🙂 looking forward to whatever the expansion for this game will be.
In any case, it certainly is a fantastic game 🙂 it has some issues though. Only 12 maps and the archaic “only 2 maps on rotation for 2 hour periods” makes long play sessions repetitive. And I’ll admit I’m a little burned out so far with salmon run (only 3 maps?) and turf war (turf war being the only gamemode during splatfest was certainly a factor in my being burned out with it though) so I’m probably gonna be lowering my game time once the persona 5 port, then dragon quest treasures and crisis core release. It could certainly use some more maps and definately needs to bring in some more brand weapons like in 2, as it feels like variety is lacking at the moment due to many using weapons more for their sun weapon loadout than the weapons themselves (stupid reef lux…).
(Edit: the ranking system sucks ass too. Why the fuck can’t you derank? If you somehow get carried into upper ranks like A+ and your struggling against the competition? Tough shit. Your stuck there forever.)
But it’s definitely joined smash and Mariokart in the “reasons to actually bother paying for Nintendo online” club for me 🙂

Too bad the Splatoon 3 servers/online is trash, I knew 3 other people that got it, now all of them have dropped it (including me) it’s the worst online experience I’ve ever had (yeah even worse then Mario maker 2)
