Why are there so many different art styles? It’s really jarring, just pick 1 and stick to it!

I think it looks pretty cool! I’m definitely interested in it.

The green UI is an nice throwback.

Dysentery – Coming to PC & Nintendo Switch
yfghufbnkb
Gameloft still making games, I still remember their java games from early mobile era
Shred30
It’s been on Apple Arcade since the beginning and it’s honestly a solid game. Pretty challenging and some interesting takes on the Oregon trail if you’ve played the original. Don’t know if I would buy it for a console though
shadow0wolf0
Looks fine. I wish it pushed more of a pixel artstyle but i can still enjoy this.
InSearchOfLostT1me
Who names their character Dathaniel?
TheWettNoodle
Time to put my sick daughter down for the 100th time
Presses the + button: “*You have died of dysentery.*”

If you want a similar and fun/goofy game, death road to Canada is great!
DecoyOne
Played on Apple Arcade. Decent game, played it through a couple times, then I was done. Doesn’t have that staying power that the older versions had. Also, a lot of events I saw *every single playthrough*, which kills replayability. Always fun to shoot a literal ton of bison and only bring back a couple hundred pounds, though.
Worth the time if you have Apple Arcade. Wouldn’t recommend paying for it myself.
undoundoundue
I’ll happily pay $1.99 for this. Otherwise …
nightwheel
This looks nice enough. I do agree with the sentiment that they should have stick with one art style or at least complimenting art styles. Because the switch between fully 3D CG characters cutscenes and then the 2D art style of the main gameplay does kind of clash.
Also why do I get the feeling that this is going to end up with a Limited Run Games release for physical version.
Manoso1
Hopefully they make Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego next?
NurseChrissy17
I LOVE THIS GAME. I never play games in mobile but I did for this game because it was sooo good and so addictive.
Garthival198
While I am interested in this, looking at the recommended specs, it says they recommend 16GB OF MEMORY!? I don’t personally build a gaming PC with anything less than 16GB regardless, but that seems like a lot for this kind of game.
BoSocks91
Time for some Dysentery!
icchansan
There’s 3 art styles in this game? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
ConcentricGroove
A game so many know because it was an Apple II game and Apple IIs were in schools so long. Someone has to do a documentary about the incredible staying power of the Apple II in the American school system.
wonkey_monkey
Every scene looks like it’s from a different game.
helmvoncanzis
Would rather get Organ Trail, tbh.
DoktorVidioGamez
Pretty sure Oregon trail is already on the pc
Korfman
If this costs any more than $5 its a complete ripoff
sofaraway10
I’ve died of dysentery.
Jomanderisreal
As someone who lives in Oregon I can’t wait for all the unique ways people are going to mispronounce Oregon in audio/video reviews.
RibbyPaultz
Call me when they get Number Munchers.
DarthEwok42
Okay cool, now do Mavis Beacon to complete the 5th grade gaming experience!

Shits been on PC for like 40 years

Oh fuck finally. I was never able to beat this in school before the end of class and we couldnt save our progress.

Y’all DO NOT float the wagon! I repeat! DO NOT float the damn wagon. Even if the next forge is another day away.
I lost half my goods and two sons trying to float the wagon.
ThePlagueLives
Oh my God. This was like the first game that got me into PC gaming when I was like 10 years old. I can’t wait for this.
mrbeanz
They probably would have a better chance of making it to Oregon if they rode in the wagon instead of walking next to it the whole way.
Edit: Thank you to /u/SuperNintendad’s response as it prompted me to look this up. Today I learned!
*In addition, most people walked, both because it allowed their wagons to carry more weight and because riding in the wagons—which had no suspension—they would have endured constant jolting and lurching on the rough trails and roads. Ox teams were not controlled with reins, and drivers walked alongside the animals.*
WordFucker
Caulk that bitch and float!
**8 people in your wagon drowned**
Goddamn ferry wasn’t cheap Uncle Vern, I HAD TO MAKE A DECISION. Now say goodbye to Aunt Katherine, there’s a herd of buffalo ahead and little Timmy hasn’t eaten anything since he caught the typhoid 5 miles back when you dared him to kiss that chicken. Ass.
MadPinoRage
Can we get modern versions of Number Munchers, Odell Down Under, Dr. Quandry, and any other game I played on school PCs/Macs back in the 90s?
