Press x to doubt.

Lies, I’ve been playing it on the switch and the pop in and other glitches are kinda crazy
junioravanzado
it runs well
just not THAT well
better in other consoles of course
but still an enjoyable experience
Persona6
Run well, sure. Look good in the process.. doubt.
Just look at persona 5 royal. Runs at locked 30fps no problem but resolution took a hit and Digital Foundry got all mad.
Avelion2
From the leaked footage I’ve seen its a stable 30 fps BUT looks like Arceus kinda.

When they have to reassure Switch users that the game will run well, that’s *not* a good sign :S
ShadowJoyConBoy
I played the game on switch a runs like shit on handheld mode, looks like shit too. Didn’t try docked.

Just release a new console already ffs

“He’s Sonic, of course he can run well”

Uh except it won’t. I already played it. It’s”playable” but I’m waiting to play it on my Steam Deck/Desktop PCs.

TLDR
– Using their own proprietary engine which they used in 2010 on Sonic Generations and have been updating (so they are intimately aware of all the ins and outs of the engine)
-Points to Sonic Forces as a way of handling performance over a wide range of platforms
– 30fps and lower resolution than other platforms for Switch to maintian good performance.
– Talks about using lower quality assets (assuming lower quality textures and lower poly geometry) on Switch to maintain good performance
-want to make sure, that people who are playing on the Nintendo Switch have the same experience
So all in all, it means this isn’t a lazy port of just dumping the PC version and toggling down the sliders.
This sounds very promising

Has there ever been a game people were concerned it wouldn’t run well on Nintendo hardware, and it ran great? Not trolling, just realistic. The entire notion of what I am describing really only exists in the situation of something being ported to it, which isn’t a knock on Nintendo, it’s just a knock on their continued lack of desire to be competitive with hardware on a generation to generation basis with their competitors.

This games run Well. Tested on my v1 switch. But looks worse than Pokemon Arceus for my opinion
Avelion2
Is it too late to cancel my preorder?

“BECAUSE WE NEED YOUR MONEHHHHHHH”
Dopesmoker402
Haha why are the lying of course its gonna run like garbage compared to the other versions

“At least it’s portable”
StrawHat89
It uses AMD FSR, they used the tools they could in order to keep the game stable.
Avelion2
One other thing to keep in mind is there’s probably a day one patch given how pop in is bad across the board.
toothsayur
have ya’ll seen the footage of it running on the switch? it’s depressing. looks like the dreamcast.
im 100% a Nintendo fanboy for life, always have been. I’ll die on that hill. but I am getting really sad seeing all these great games looking like putty just because Nintendo don’t seem to/dont want to understand newer tech.
we need that “pro” bad.
Grazuzer
Well, it’s exactly the kind of game I want to pay on a steam deck more than a switch.
Pc/PS4/Xbox ports to switch are too downgraded IMO,
Except dragon quest.
Dragon quest was fantastic
MatrixLyn
Nope. I will just buy the other versions. Sonic 3D at 30fps? No thanks.
TheDuhllin
I’ve been playing it the last few days and honestly it could definitely run much better. The distance rendering is terrible. It looks grainy, just in general. And I feel like I’ve run into a good bit of FPS drops. I love it and it’s a great game, but the quality could absolutely be better than it is.
Neotk
I’ve played a bit on the switch and I will say it: unless you don’t have a better way to play it, stay away from it on the switch. Not that it doesn’t run well. It does. But I feel that on other platforms the graphic is much better, specially when playing on a 4k TV.
Flying_Foreskin
I wonder what Chris Chan thinks of all this
Avelion2
And its official the game’s a flop.
Edit: Flop is a bit to strong its certainly a step up from forces, but it boils down to do you like collectathons? Its a long game to 100% like 25 hrs.

Runs ok but looks like absolute ass.
