With C Calem and H Jasmine secured, C Serena was my next priority with my remaining gems, and this was the showcase I wanted to do the most with her. When fully set up, C Serena has the strongest Off-Type 1st Sync in the game. It’s a fun convenience that all 3 Water-Type Master Fairs are involved since this battle really conveys their authority as Master Fairs.
For the setup, C Serena wants to ideally land at 18 debuffs for full power on her multipliers, while having time to use her B Move. The B Move covers 4 debuffs (2 Def, 2 SpDef), Rainy Mind-Blowing Strike 2 can cap the SpDef debuffs meaning an extra 4, and then Unfortunate Strike 9 scoring 10 non-redundant debuffs brings the total to 18 she can reach by herself. SS Kris takes care of maxing ally SpAtk and Crit since 2x Water Shuriken + B Move leaves C Serena preoccupied. Archie in turn covers the Rain while SS Kris has her hands busy buffing, and also takes care of the side enemies.
Although I’ve described the optimal setup, even if C Serena doesn’t achieve it, her Sync damage is going to dwarf the vast majority of Syncs regardless, usually by a factor of 2 or more when talking other Tech Syncs. Her integrated Water Rebuff is what propels her damage beyond normal conventions, but her Sync would have still been immense in its absence.
