Iron thorns is a completely different pokedex entry so unfortunately I don't think it will use Larvitar candy 😢

They need to revamp the game.. add another 10 – 20 levels. With the new max level you get shiny charm. Level 60 you get long distance lucky trades. Something to make the game more playable ya know ..
Iron thorns resembles ttar but it isn't ttar so larvitar candy won't work on it

Unfortunately Iron Thorns along side the rest of the Paradox Pokemon, they do look related to the Pokémon and are related due to the history, they’re not the same Pokémon nor forms of the Pokémon, meaning farming Larvitar Community won’t effect the Iron Thorns, though I wished it would to make things easier, this also affects Wigglet and Toedscool, yes they are similar to Digglet and Tentacool, they’re not related aside from similar appearance

Larvitar is a good boy. This is a good comm day. Great move for a great Pokémon with a great upcoming mega evolution during a great event (stardust boost lunar year option) also, I’m kinda looking forward to seeing some xxs and xxl ones lol
