I absolutely loved Awakening, Echoes, Three Houses and Three Hopes. I’ll have to hold out on this game. Might get it if there is nothing else to play, and I have a huge backlog.

So I think the music is the big culprit here. That video is otherwise a bit more colorful that I prefer but nowhere near as bad as Camilla boobs in Fates. If it were playing with Awakenings music it would be passable, but not my favorite. The music makes it feel like too much of an anime episode. I KNOW FE has anime influences, I just think that music doesn’t mesh well with what the series has done so far.

After 3 houses intro this looks quite bland. They need to go well beyond this to ruin fire Emblem for me but still… Not liking this.

Oh my god that’s the tackiest shit I’ve seen in a while with the floating bodies on the rings, and the cringe evil smile by the mc. And I don’t give a shit it’s been said a million times, the main character is eyesore, the balloon girl looks fucking awful, the designs are so ugly.
But I’ll STILL probably by it at some point.

I find it funny that ever since awakening FE fans have been saying “they are ruining FE with this game” with every single new game prior to release. Then the game comes out and most people find things to appreciate even if the game isn’t perfect. Then a newer game gets announced and they go “Bro last game was so great, they are ruining FE with this new one” and then the cycle continues.
I also ain’t vibing with the super moe aesthetics but at the end of the day as long as there are cool support convos and I get to play my comfort anime/fantasy chess game, I’ll be eating well.

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it lol. I’m usually not critical of song choices but wow this just didn’t fit at all. So campy, cheesy, cringey, etc compared to other FE titles. Like this would work for a Saturday morning anime but FE just isn’t this.
Either keep with the theme or have an orchestral piece!
