Before going to PC and other consoles, it sold 7.5 million units on the Switch alone. So even now, more than half of the worldwide sales remain here, possibly even more.

It’s cool how many people play this game…but for how in depth it gets I wonder how much progress they make before they bounce off it?

  3. summonerrin

it is psychotic how popular monster hunter world made this series

Picked it up myself today. Excited to jump into it.

I was a big fan of MH on the PSP and 3DS

Meanwhile I’m confused on how S.O.S can be dead haha. Damn, it’s pretty crazy how after playing MH for more than a decade, it became a big pillar of Capcom after being known as a niche series!? I’m really excited for the next gen MH, after MHW and Rise, can you imagine how amazing the next one can be!?

Bought a Switch and MHR last week. Over 20 hours in so far, absolutely no regrets. Terrific game. Insect Glaive Gang!!

I keep buying monster hunter games despite being crap at them and never managing to sink more than an hour or two.

Got Tri, got Generations, got World, for Rise. Didn’t play them, but I really appreciate the spirit and aesthetic of these games.

    Thankfully there is also Stories.

  10. Planning on getting this game as soon as I can afford it, always wanted to try a monster hunter game.

It was one of my first games on the Switch, not knowing the Monster Hunter franchise. I had an absolute blast with it. Pretty tough to get into, but with some YouTube-help I cleared the main story pretty handily. Post-game content is amazing, haven’t downloaded the DLC because so many other games

I bought Monster Hunter some years ago, just couldn’t get into it, sad.

Haven’t played rise much, not sure if I should finish the content or go right to sunbreak… Or just keep playing iceborne and finally fight alatreon and fatalis.

Since monster hunter rise has an bundle that’s on sale I’m still thinking if I should get the game

I like game with long story so I hope the story won’t be too short

I have owned this for months and still get pulled away every time I start it. Want to start it again but I KNOW Tears of the Kingdom is a day one play for me and don’t want to yet again bounce from it. I need more time!!!! I’m so jealous of people who have gotten into it because it looks like hella fun.

Can I just get rise or do I need any of the other games? This always confuses me

  17. Lost_Astronaut_654

It’s gonna be my first monster hunter game so wish me luck

  18. Never played monster hunter before but gave it a shot since it was on gamepass.

Consumed me and now I have almost 60 hours into it, highly recommend!

  19. undressvestido

And yet I still don’t know anyone that played it

  20. SuccessfulPath7

Is this for the switch version only or with PC combined

  21. michcond

I tried Monster Hunter 4: Ultimate back on the 3DS, but I couldn’t get into it (didn’t give it enough time in the beginning).

    How beginner-friendly is this one?
