The first title was excellent, hoping this one can recapture the magic of the first!
Fantasy Life is by far my favorite 3DS game, so excited!
I spent 200 hours on the OG 3DS game, so the girl will probably have an easy time stealing my time at least lol.
I was so sad when the 2nd one was a stupid mobile game. I am so incredibly excited for this one.
This got the most hype for me.
Fantasy life and rune factory were my favs games on 3ds, I am so happy I can play both on my switch

I cannot even describe how FREAKIN PUMPED I AM for this game!! And a new one at that! This was an incredibly unexpected surprise. Definitely preordering.
The 3DS game had the audacity to be one of the most fun I’ve ever played + be so unique nothing else has scratched that itch. This is brilliant news!!!
I could not fucking believe this got announced, I have been wanting a new (and proper) Fantasy Life for YEARS. This and the Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life remaster are all I need to survive.

Yes yes yes! My god am I so damn happy for this! Fantasy Life Online just closed so I was playing again on 3DS and man when this came on I dropped my 3DS! So glad to see it risen from the grave along with Etrian Odyssey as well! The 2 things I didn’t expect but made the direct for me.
When they said Fantasy Life, I was like “Please stop. I can only get this much excited”.

Also i’m hoping that it’s a pretty large game, it looks great so far but we haven’t seen many areas yet.

Yesss! I loved the 3DS game.
This is what made the direct for me. One of my favorite 3DS games and a “series” I figured was just dead. My most anticipated game of the year now (although Zelda is still up there).

I’ve never heard of the first but love farm/life sims, so I was really excited to see whatever this is. Just disappointed it’s release date is “2023”—like thanks for that bit of detail
I still dunno what time travel has to do with building an island, but hey the game looks fun. Hope it’s good.
I’m so happy about this. Fantasy Life is such a fun game. Also i had a difficult time beating some monster in the 3ds one so this time I’m playing with help! Let’s go kill some dragons!

When I saw the sequel was a mobile game I gave up all hope for a real sequel. This was the biggest surprise of the direct for me tbh and I’m absolutely stoked.
I was literally joking the entire time with my boyfriend “Is this Fantasy Life?” and pointing out when I saw a Level 5 game that Level 5 is doing good now, they should announce a Fantasy Life sequel or port. I was so shocked when I ended up being right, I really thought there was no chance. My favorite game of all time getting a sequel (the mobile game doesn’t count). I hope it’s good!

My friends were watching with me and 10 minutes before the announcement I was like: “A new fantasy life would be awesome”. More joking as I thought I would never have the chance again. And then they made the announcement. After the return of Rex and Shulk in XC3, this was my highlight of the direct
I’ve always wished there would be *at least* a remaster of the 3DS version for the switch or a second game (not counting the mobile game) without hoping much – I honestly abandon the idea it’ll ever happen – but this took me so much off guard I almost choked lol
By far my all-time-favorite game with 300h of playtime and I’ve been looking for years for something similar but it’s just so unique with all these all-in-one mechanics and features, nothing is similar enough (Snack World scratched the itch a bit). And this new one mixing the OG game mechanics with Animal Crossing elements? I can die happy :’)
Can’t wait to learn more, I see that the profession masters from the OG game are coming back and that the mechanics of each jobs are the same, I loved them (I loved everything anyways in the first game). I recognized some music and sound design as well.
Wondering if there’ll be a storyline like the first one then a crazy replayability with tons of side quests, or if it’ll be more like animal crossing but with each job having a role, I expect collecting wood, ore and all to craft furnitures and items to decorate the island and MC house.
Do I sound excited? I am. I crazy am. Best news I’ve heard in a while, maybe it’s sad but I’m fricking happy right now damn it 🎉

I loved FL and would’ve killed for a sequel, so I’m so glad they’re making a new one! I just hope the world’s bigger to explore and we get to have more relationship building aspects.
