It just gets worse. They speak like their own players are some sort of a menace to them lol

Wasn’t this obvious people will visit the park regardless if they have a ticket or not. Are they really that dumb lol. They should have considered this situation will occur, just trying to give some crappy excuses for a failed tour.
PhantomLuna7
Imagine trying to blame players for the mess they made
lazarus900
We’re literally walking wallets to them
Academic-Astronaut59
Niantic servers have always been trash they don’t need to blame the players for that.
LoneWulf14
If I didnt turn up to the park yesterday, I sure as hell would after this tweet… Niantic need a wake up call, its a public area fgs
Draxter89
Why wouldn’t non ticket holders show up to farm XL candy for the 2 primals even without getting primal energy or the exclusive moves. Does that 17000 include spoofers?
keilankessie
It’s not surprising that if you give people a time and place where a bunch of pogo players will be, that people will want to go there to meet people with a huge common interest that they may never have the chance to meet again.
dearpimpz
Ahahahahaha. Excellent job niantic
SpringTraps
They really went out posted all of that didn’t they? Like no one thought “hey let’s not post this, it makes us sound bitchy and ill equipped to handle anything”

Imagine asking people to not go to a public space because it’ll hurt the experience of some paid customers.
Severe_Flow5953
Public space, can’t stop people
Omnislash99999
We ask if you haven’t paid money do not show up to this public space
boogerzzzzz
This is an open invite for all to go and expose what shit this is.
Kind of like the “don’t send us scans of your shoes for scan tasks” pleas.

Niantic when they realise people actually live in Las Vegas :

2016: Come together, let’s build a community.
2023: Could you ticketless peasants please stay at home so we can concentrate on ripping of our paying customers?
Odd-Cat1148
What if all people there had tickets? Not an excuse to blame your faulty game connectivity on there being too many people without tickets.
Chinokid87
I am confused so they are holding this event in a public place where people could just join even without a ticket? Last year for Berlin’s event it wasn’t even possible to enter without showing a ticket which I thought was how all of those events work
geo_dude89
Its hilarious/sad that they’re trying to pin their notoriously terrible, bug-filled event launches on players who likely showed up to hangout and raid 2 of the best Pokémon in the game.
What a complete lack of awareness on Niantic’s part.

The uninvited player out there doing the lord’s work.

It’s a public place, we’ll go where we want.
tearlock
The event was held at a PUBLIC PARK where the public has a RIGHT to be. I’m a ticket holder, connections were horrible. THAT IS NOT THE PUBLIC’S FAULT, that’s the fault of event planners who did not plan well for a private event held at a public venue. I guess they really really really wanted to have it in Vegas but they really really really didn’t want to put forth the expense for something like this. If you want to host a paid exclusive event then either hold it at a private venue with security to keep non-payers out, or increase your bandwidth so it doesn’t matter that the public is there, or get some kind of a Wi-Fi only access where some kind of authentication tied to your phone is required.
THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN A PROBLEM.
Belt_Pretend
I’ve always wanted to attend an in-person PoGo event but Niantic’s track record has been consistently disappointing ever since 2016.
unforgivablecrust
Oh cool guess we’ll go fuck ourselves 😁

Then:
“We are reducing accessibility and effectiveness of remote raid passes to motivate people to play in person and bond to strengthen the player communities. We are also adding exclusive raids that can only be done in person.”
Now:
“Please stay at home if you didn’t give us money. If you try to meet other players in person and bond there will be trouble.”

“It’s not that our game runs like dirt. It’s the fault of poor players who don’t know their place.”
Thanks, Niantic

When I was there yesterday, most people who couldn’t log in for the first hour or two almost all said they had Verizon, then at about 12 or 1 more players with AT&T started dropping out(At least from what I was getting from people). There were a couple spots at the west side of the park that were golden and had no issues.
And there really were a lot of people there, lots of businesses across the street had to close their doors early because they ran out of food.
Snoberry
Lmao imagine the audacity of asking people not to go to a public place to play a game in an event you’re publicly advertising
D_gate
The go tour has always been a bad idea. Who thought selling tickets for a small park and running a game off of a cell connection would be a good idea? They should have done a whole city tour and had you ACTUALLY tour a city. This would allow for a more spread out event for more people to enjoy with less issues.
Expensive-Gate3529
“yes hi we’re a billion dollar company who isn’t going to rent out this public space for a private event. Don’t come to this public place unless you’re participating in this private event”.
Lol fuck that.
ringlord_1
They suck so much at messaging. They could have phrased it as –
“We are overwhelmed by the love trainers have shown us, we had more than 17,000 players without a ticket also participate in the raids in the venue. We hope they had a memorable time with their friends and family. Unfortunately, this unexpected support led to the nearby cell towers being overwhelmed and cause issues for some players. We are trying to resolve it and have expanded the area of primal raids to the whole city so that all the extra people can enjoy them without any connection issues.”

Same thing, but appreciative, positive and giving solutions
