Bringing the 15 newest Spotlight Scout units to Kalos Champion Stadium [Pokemon Masters EX]

If you’re curious, the oldest unit here is SS Erika (with SS Misty being the 16th newest spotlight), who was released all the way back in October 2021. Teambuilding for this was much easier than I thought it was going to be since there’s a pretty good balance of roles between these 15 units.

Was slightly dreading this clear since I knew Gordie wasn’t an option for this but it turned out to be easier than I expected. Getting that confusion proc at the end was very much appreciated though, and watching a sidemon succumb to all the passive damage was funny.

Gordie continues the Max Flare shenanigans, and he has the advantage of Tar Shot boosting his damage further (as well as not caring about the Sp Atk drops). SS Erika kept the sun up and the sync countdown going with Solar Propulsion, while Aaron completed the team’s buffs and tanked like a champ.

The three latest spotlights form a pretty good team (and are conveniently my three favorite characters in this pool hahaha), with Colress even addressing Healthy Advantage with Thunder Wave. The team is also surprisingly bulky enough to take the sync, though Hugh’s flinches do have a lot to do with that.

Definitely the most annoying clear here due to all the AOE moves and Allister not having the bulk to take them on. Even with Melony’s singing and shields, I had to reset until I had favorable attack rolls. Courtney has a pretty good sync nuke all things considered, and Bulldoze and the Defense debuffs are helpful in chipping away at the sides.

Pretty straightforward. Even with the faster move gauge parameter and the permanent field effects for Sonia’s gauge acceleration, I still found myself unable to queue both Poison Jab and Iron Head comfortably. Getting that Metal Burst at the end was nice though.
