As someone who hasn’t played any “life is stranges” is it important to play them in order?

I don’t play a lot of games in this genre but after playing True Colors, I’m super excited for this. It’s an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish.

This series always gives me mixed feelings. I played the first back in high school, and it was really good. But just a couple years later I played #2 and found it to be very “young adult” material. Not dishing on anyone who enjoys these games, just kinda bummed I grew out of them I guess.
