Well. Even if they fix everything and make it identical to the other consoles, I don’t think I’ll pick it up until I see the game at $7.99 like Vesperia is, and just for morbid curiosity.

The “Remastered” version also has issues in the other consoles as well, like the pixelated menus, missing dialogues, they didn’t even bother to clean up the voice clips a bit so they don’t sound terribly low-quality, some things like weapons have thick black outlines while the characters don’t. Forget the 60fps, that’s the least of its issues.

This and Klonoa 1’s remasters burned me and I expect the worst of the Baten Kaitos collection.

At least the Baten Kaitos 1&2 HD Remaster release will put Baten Kaitos on a more permanent format for posterity. Tales already existed on Blu-ray discs on PS3 that aren’t going anywhere and digital that can be backed up whenever you want so it was already locked up forever in terms of availability. Tales of Symphonia had a higher bar for what it needed in order to be a worthwhile purchase for me than Baten Kaitos will.

I’ve read a lot on the problems of this game. I do want to play it, I’d prefer the switch but would play an alternative. They aren’t present in the Ps/Xbox versions?

Hrm, honestly kinda liking the black background for skits, it’s more readable.

Guess I’ll take this right off my wishlist, glad I saw this I just added it.

Thanks for sharing. Definitely will avoid this until issues are fixed.

How do you fuck up a Gamecube/PS2 game?
