    I loved the first one but had little hype for this, until I finally got around to trying the demo last night. Now my hype is going crazy, forgot how good these games can be

    I’m hoping this game has a good story. They nailed the gameplay loop in the first one (though it got old around mid-game for me) but it was severly lacking otherwise.

    Definitely going to wait this one out. Bought the first one at full price upon release. Had high expectations for it. I went through a few characters’ storylines to realize that none of them were ever going to overlap. Then I asked myself what the point even was of having all these characters. I still completed all the storylines, but not going to rush out for this one. I think I was just excited for the first one because it was a new IP. A JRPG in the likes of the old Final Fantasy games that will always have a special place in my heart.

    The additional 3d camera angles and zoom are a nice touch as well.

    how is the grinding going to be?
    i didn’t play the first one because random encounters became tedious and stories were not interconnected..
