Let’s go ! I wanted new maps so badly, I liked all the expansion pass maps so far. I did them after beating the game, Soren one gave me a hard time in maddening and Camilla one was such a slog lol.
I hope the wave 4 come very soon.
Edit : Just checked it and we can now inherit skills directly from the arena. Nice QoL.

• From Chapter 7 forward, you’ll be able to exchange items at the ancient well on the Somniel.
You’ll need to talk to the proprietor of the armory.

At this rate, Wave 4 DLC might as well be out in April because it feels like these are coming out fast.

That is not DLC, that’s just taken out after the game was done.
They should just be honest and raise the price of games. We used to pay almost twice thr value for n64 games, we’ll do it again.
The one thing this game doesn’t need is even more characters.
I’m still on the fence about getting Engage. Three Houses had way too much story / non battle fluff for me and I have up on it pretty early on.
I think I’m gonna hold off from playing this for a while. Wave 2 DLC seriously harmed the game balance to irredeemable levels which is saying a lot since the game isn’t very balanced to begin with. I only expect this to make things worse. Overall though Fire Emblem DLC has always been despicable and shouldn’t be defended. Constantly doling out items and classes that are in the game’s code already through reused maps from old games isn’t worthwhile content. This same problem plagued Awakening where the vast majority of DLC gave no rewards, had no meaningful gameplay, and only really served to pad out the map packs with maps from older games with a bunch of einherjar shoddily strewn across the map. It was only really until 3H and to a certain extent Fates in which the DLC was actually good.
I say this as a huge fan of the series. I’ve played every game to completion multiple times. Started with FE8’s western release on its release day and have been a fan ever since. I’m also not blind as to why Nintendo is willing to push Fire Emblem even when its unit sales have been low compared to other Nintendo franchises. Nowadays it’s because they can sell overpriced DLC for pure profit and know that another FE game can be pushed out within a year.
Unlike many people, I think I prefer dlc to be release fast. I don’t like when I get a game, finish it, then have to pick it back up months later just to play the dlc. I have other games to play and with RPGs, it gets annoying to get into dlc when I forgot story parts since last I played months ago.
This is also why I try not to buy games until majority, if not all the dlc is out already.
Just finished it. Don’t have the season pass and the game feels complete to me even without it.
So I don’t know why I would get this pass.
Can’t we just go back in time where there was no DLC, all content was released in the game. It seems they just decided to not release a full game with how frequently this dlc is coming out. I doesn’t bother me though since I sail the high seas.
I have more rings than units that I can deploy.
How many waves are there for the DLC? I know this is a bit of a weird approach but unless a game is like a “OMG ELDEN RING I NEED TO START PLAYING IT AT MIDNIGHT ON LAUNCH DAY” kind of affair, I tend to like to wait for the entire amount of DLC to come out because I just want to play the most fleshed out version since I rarely go back and replay a game.
Gotta love DLC that should have just been a part of the main game

I’m on chapter 12 in the main game. Should I leave the expansions till after I finish it, or are they worth getting while I’m still on my playthrough? E.g. does it unlock some new Emblem rings that are helpful/interesting for finishing the main story?
The second Modders have the Filesystem open, someome will put in every old unit within a week.
These things don’t have the value they sell then for.
But the original game (and most high value development game these days) likely should be 20 bucks+ more to begin with.
This is just… Sony selling the required SD card at moon prices to pretend to be a better deal than 3ds
