This looks eerie similar to Sea Horizons on Switch which I [reviewed](https://youtu.be/78Kr0fa9REo) a few months back. Will keep my eyes peeled for it though, can’t have enough Deckbuilders!

I understand games in the same genre can look similar but this looks a lot like Slay the Spire mechanically. Is there much difference gameplay-wise?

I read ‘pirate deckbuilder’ and assumed it was a shipbuilding game. I’m disappointed and it’s all my fault

played this on my phone for a while, it’s alright but nothing to write home about

I can’t recommend this enough. It is absolutely my favorite roguelike deck builder. I have unlocked all achievements in Slay the Spire but I enjoyed the variety of Pirates Outlaws more. I had 100% it up until the latest Android update came out. It’s a massive game. Unfortunately, android doesn’t track time but I would guess it took somewhere around 200-300 hours to complete.
For reference I beat A20 (last achievement) in sts at 236 hours.
OtherWorldStar
Not as good as Slay the Spire, but It’s a decent deck builder.

As someone probably nearing or having surpassed 1k hours in StS across platforms, I did not quickly get bored of this game. One of the characters plays around curses which is super interesting – more damage options/cards that interact with “x” curses while needing to balance your draw versus the number of curses you’ve generated. Seemed a bit chancier than StS but not egregiously so. The “play to earn currency to unlock new maps/characters” shit is more than a bit tedious, though perhaps they’ll go “one price full unlock”. Probably my 2nd or 3rd favorite RL deck builder on mobile (where you at Monster Train?!).

I read Fable and got sad.
