I mean, Sega was directly competition, no?
>Parents wonder why there’s never a Nintendo sale.
A statement that rings to day. Although that’s a matter to stubbornness.

I love the history of Nintendo so much. I have watched every video on YouTube I can about it. It was such an interesting time for video games and if it wasn’t for Nintendo, we probably wouldn’t have half the amazing selection of games we do today. Thank god for R.O.B the Robot.

Is that Ron Jeremy? Didn’t knew he had anything to do with Nintendo. Oh well…
Majaura
Go figure this would get downvoted on a Nintendo subreddit. I think it’d probably fit more on R/gaming. Super interesting video. Does anyone know of any documentaries on early SNES, 64, Sony, console war type stuff that isn’t really just some YouTube video?

At least for Tengen, Nintendo didn’t want them in stores because they were circumventing the security chip in the NES. IIRC it was because Tengen took carts and reverse engineered the chip.

I highly recommend Slopes Game room. His has do many complete histories on so many games. Check him out. He is great!
I just poseyed a link to the complete history of Mario Kart. He also has one on Pac-Man, well, actually 2. And believe it or not. The Yakuza kept Pac-Man from selling as good back in the day! Crazy stuff man!
