Not surprising at all. Mario is a huge name, Illumination is a huge name, the advertising has been frequent and high quality, it was a guaranteed success from the beginning!

Glad to see. I think any Nintendo fan is going to have a really good time at this movie. I saw it yesterday and it was everything I could have wanted out of a Mario movie. Can’t wait for the sequel teased at the end.

I honestly don’t care what animated movie it is and where it comes from. As long as it’s making huge bank more than Disney I’m happy. And this time it just happened to be a film in really excited about seeing soon.

But, as a die-hard Mario fan, for me what made it awesome and great was just how true to Mario it was. And I think that can be attributed to Shigeru Miyamoto producing it and Nintendo as a wholes involvement.

I’ve taken my daughter to a couple anime movies in the last year but this was the first movie we have taken both the kids to since Frozen2.
I think this movie is going to make bank.

Movie is worth watching, if also say, do not watch it on 3D. That’s not worth it imo

the success is not given, nintendo and illumination did everything right, including playing it safe. This is Miyamoto’s vision of Mario, he didn’t let the writers to have too much creative input that could alter Mario’s near 40-year long established character and I’m glad for that.

like many of us, i grew up playing everything Super Mario and i must say i loved this movie. i felt like it was done incredibly well and Pratt did great. I can’t wait to purchase 🤓

My 3 y.o and I enjoyed it! If you’re a fan I recommend it and if you have kids, even more so. Fun watch and lots of easter eggs throughout. Glad It’s having a strong opening. Would love to see them tackle other Nintendo properties for the big screen. The Legend of Zelda with that Arcane animated art style would be amazing!

Loved it. Absolutely LOVED it. As an Xennial, I grew up on Mario so I had my fears going in. Nope, LOVED LOVED LOVED the movie. Highly recommend. Movie critics are bombing it but in this day and age they are an outdated relic of the past with no use anymore. Go see it. You’ll love it.
