Do you love Mario Kart but wish you could play as Megara from Disney’s Hercules? Well do I have the game for you!

  2. Shes_so_Ratchet

This looks like it might be a fun game to switch it up from MK8 once in a while, especially with kids.

  3. GalaticWedge

Imagine if Homer Simpson, Peter Griffin, and Greg Heffley get added as DLC characters for this game

  4. This actually looks nice. We just need to be able to play as Flash McQueen.. with no “driver”

  5. DonutToledo

I was going to joke about this being the Mario Kart killer, but it actually does look pretty cool.

  6. PurpleFalco

This looks a lot like Sonic and Sega All-stars Racing and that was a good game.

I’m hoping for a good game following the lengthy delay

So apparently there are tokens (in-game currency) and you have to unlock additional racers – per their website. That they have a Founder’s Pack, Deluxe and Ultimate packs for early access makes me think this is supposed to be… Free to play maybe? Something similar to that fighter, MultiVersus?

  8. Only what a year or two off from what they originally said.

No Vanellope…? Why even bother? Racing’s in her code.

  10. I see a lot of positivity in the comments about this game. Can we all try to remember it is a free to play game made by the same studio responsible for Asphalt 9. I am also half ways excited for this game, but remember that the majority of the game will be locked behind a paywall and most likely battle pass.

Wasn’t this supposed to be free to play? The eShop says it’s 30$

While I’ve put many hours and enjoyment in Asphalt 9 (created by the same team,) it did get to the point where you’re pretty much forced to pay to continue in the main mode. Grinding out on events, time trials, and multiplayer ruined it for me.

Hopefully it won’t come to that, as I’ve enjoyed my time on Disney Dreamlight Valley (which is still in early access, so that could definitely change as well.)

I love pretty much all kart racers, and I would absolutely buy this at $60. But the fact that it’s free-to-play ruins it completely for me.

It’s such a shame when a game looks fun but decides to be predatory instead of just letting you pay for a complete experience.

Asphalt 9 is a great looking and performing game on the switch and I think the same company is making this. Im optimistic.

I played on PC when there was a beta. Curious if they improved it at all.

It played slow and stiff, pretty boring gamelay. Not a lot of depth. If you’re expecting a Mario Kart 8 or Sonic All-Star Racing Transformed, this ain’t it. This probably has more the feeling of a mobile game.

Unless they’ve improved it. Beta was early summer 22. So maybe.

  16. This gives me some Disney Magical Racing Tour nostalgia from ps1

  17. FulcrumM2

    Actually looks alright

I’ll download and try it at least

  18. Am I wrong or not remembering correctly, but I swear way back when the game was first announced that it was going to be free to play. Which I thought was odd at the time given it was Disney.

Eh, I’ll give this a shot when it goes F2P. I’m expecting daily rewards, season passes, and all that other bullshit that goes into trying to retain an active playerbase. Hopefully it’ll prove me wrong.

I’m maining Belle, Hercules, Mowgli, and Mulan. It’s about time we got a release date. I really love the kart racing genre. Pac-Man World Rally, Mario Kart Wii, Mysims Racing, Joy Ride Turbo, Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, Beach Buggy Racing 2, Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway, Smurfs Kart, and KartRider: Drift. There’s another kart racer releasing this year called The Karters 2: Turbo Charged on all platforms. It’s also going to have crossplay.

  21. Yo this js a gameloft game, charging out the ass on release for extra characters, and even from the trailer the actual driving looks shite. Dont get your hopes up

The impression I got from this game’s beta (played it on Steam) is that it’s designed to suck money out of kids what with their “Each driver has 3 different currencies for their upgrades, have fun gathering them all to even try and be competitive at later stages” setup.

I’d highly recommend waiting a while to see if their economy is as disgustingly vile as I fully expect it to be.

So this is basically the same idea as disney dreamlight valley, u pay to get early access 🤔 but will it be a buggy as DDV thats the question? I paid for early access with DDV and that is constantly crashing and having weird bugs, game is fun not gonna lie I’ve played DDV since day 1 all I get now is waiting for more content updates as I’ve done everything available so far.

Will this game have plenty of tracks or is there only 3/4 then have to wait around for updates?

  24. All I have ever wanted is a Sugar Rush game with Disney characters. This comes close I suppose but it’s free to play with micro transactions so idk if I’m actually here for this…

  25. AndykinSkywalker

They’re pulling another Dreamlight Valley I see.. I may wait for it to be F2P. I’ve loved Dreamlight Valley since it filled the void Animal Crossing left when they stopped updating it, but I’m not liking that they’ve already introduced a “premium shop” when everyone that’s currently playing it already PAID to do so. Kinda gross.
