It's simple man. They want the game to drown. They can't handle this game and it's fans so they are pushing. At the same time making other games. Niantic DON'T CARE ABOUT POKEMON ANYMORE! ✌️
PokeAK, i think there are several algorithms :
– an algorithm that stucks 90% of the players near 50-55% and then it’s difficult to get a MMR above 2500
– a placebo algorithm that doesn’t assign any oriented match-up, enables some people to be near 2700-2800
– an algorithm that advantages a small part of the players and enables them to go up through Legend status.
Probably there is like a kind of luck factor settled for each players that depends on your behavior in the game or not.
That’s why many players argue each other : some of them get frustrated and rumble, other find the game fair and the last one who are advantaged and say that the first ones are crazy…

Using ABB style teams Is how I beat the algorithm. In masters tog, hax and giratina. Currently in great league sabeleye stun and bastiodon with great success, would highly recommend
only way i have found to beat the algo on your lose set is to run an ABB team, and BAIT hard. like you said, you can tell at the beginning of the battle before it even starts depending on if you win lead and who it is. goodluck bro, like you said; just keep bringing the spice picks. im running up my (A) sandshrew right now, i believe i saw you use it first.
PVP just sucks whenever Im not using the super op Giratina, Zacian, Dialga team. A lot of unwinnable matchups and its literally rng.
Yes this happens all the time and im not not the best player.. so changing my team often or when I start loosing…then completely different counters, and same if I change one pokemon in the back…it makes me so tired
This algorithm is rigged. It took me two weeks to gain 10 points to get to veteran rank. I would play at my best, yet I would still get hard countered. Every time I was one set away from reaching the next rank, I would get perfectly hard countered. I would go up against Pokémon that aren’t even almost meta, but good enough to hard wall my team. It’s so frustrating to lose the lead, the swap, and the back line just due this controlled matchmaking.
Fucking game is laggy af right now. I couldn't get my moves off at crucial times. I'm taking next season off, too frustrating and I don't care anymore.
Bruh So the first two sets I’ve used were off meta Pokemon, but ended up getting hard countered. As soon as I used meta relevant Pokemon I end up going 5-0
I tried Venasaur and the very first match was against a Ninetail 😂
Every season for me it’s the same Bs, my win percentage is 52%. I start with stunfisk, i get paired with someone leading with a fighter or swampert..I less with a flyer, I get key met with a stunkfisk or lantern. Like i wish I wasn’t being fr. At best, I’ll sweep a 5-0 and immediately lose 0-5 or 1-4…and yes I switch teams around when I start noticing counters. My elo is always between 1900-2200 never higher or lower. It’s getting to the point where i don’t even wanna battle anymore but I enjoy the game.

This is exactly why I quit doing GBL. Anyone saying there isn't a algorithm… delusional. But hey, going out and "grinding" more may result in a false ban.
One of the days during the weather cup I went 5-0 and 4-1 and got to 2498. The next set I got hard countered in the lead and hard countered in the swap and went 0-5. I changed my lead and went 1-4, changed my lead again and went 0-5. Hard countered every time.
This is something I realized. Every time you are near enough points to reach a next rank the hard counters becomes more apparent..
Maybe it's just me but I always lose a lot of points just before I'm about to reach another rank….
I was in 2450s during the little cup and these past two weeks in Great League I fell down to 2100. I’ve decided to quit playing daily and for sure lost interest.

100% why I quit Go Battle League. It started for me in Season 3. Not consistent across all players. This is why some people don't believe in me algorithm, because it's not consistently applied across the entire player base. Different players have different matchmaking experiences. No clue how it's distributed, but it seems random.
i wish go battle league was just first come first served in order to get a feel for real face to face tournaments

I'm a legend battler. And without a doubt, I'll tell ya that open great league is the worst of the worst. Avoid like the plague becuz it is hard counter city. I reach legend in special cups or master premier. But as far as open great league, I get destroyed by ace rank players cuz of algorithm. Avoid! Avoid!
Always keeps you at 50% no matter what team you choose. Always a counter..
I get hard countered 75% of the time in pvp. But I find 2 – 3 shinys daily soo its fair I guess lol
Go battle league did not have an algoritm the first few hours when it was released some years ago. It was madness! I was rampaging over teams with my giratinaA. Then algoritm came in place, and the whole world magically learned to play perfect pokemon over night
Battle league was awesome, I got so many legendary. Now you never get any. I got one in six months. And the algorithm is so mest up.
i've been using and have lead with shadow dragonite for about 200 battles. i went into a lead-losing matchup about 70% of the time. the last set i did was lanturn, shadow a9, g-fisk, a9, and shadow dragonair. i don't think the algo likes me very much >.<

I hadnt seen a single alolan marowak the whole season. Yesterday I was in a bit of a rush, so I needed to get my matches done quickly, so I decided to dust of my toxic double charm team with medicham in the lead (matches goes by super fast). I won a bunch of games very quickly and then suddenly I saw 2 or 3 alolan marowak teams in a row. Naturally I lost these matches because none of my mons could handle him. I think the chances of not encountering a single alolan marowak he whole season and then suddenly facing it multiple times in a row when I ran a team that was weak to it is astronomical. I am pretty sure that the game told me that I had won to much lately and it was time to chill.
EVERY TIME I USEM MEDICHAM I SEE IT ON AZU ON LEAD THEN WHEN I USE VENASAUR I SEE A SHADOW CHARIZARD AND IM BEING SERIOUS
same here. dropped from 2380 to 2200s from this stupid great league match making. i change line ups and doesn't matter, i get hard countered every match reaching 2200s.
The algo was always obvious to me but lately I’m also wondering if some of the opponents are bots/AI. I think that’s how they are able to serve up hard counter teams so quickly when they decide you have won enough and need to start losing to get that win % back down. Some of them play perfectly, call EVERY single bait without fail and just sweep no matter what you do. I also find it odd that I’m constantly facing opponents wearing masks and yet I have 300 friends from all over the world and hardly any of them still have masks on their avatars.
Just hit 1000 battles this season with 512 wins lol
