  1. You don’t need any more ads to sell me the game.

  2. Sisiwakanamaru

The ads hits really hard for millennial players

  3. blanketedgay

Good ad but did anyone else laugh when he sat down on the couch and Tears of the Kingdom case just popped up out of nowhere.

  4. tattoo_love

Tears of the Kingdom is all we need to improve our joyless thankless working lives! I can’t wait to go into all the pointless meetings next week with a renewed sense of adventure!

  5. TheKoreshOfItAll

Apparently tears of the kingdom cures depression

  6. Disastrous-Mood4174

Thats pretty cute! Looking out the window in the end was a nice touch!

  7. Darkwarz

Guy is a savage playing on the bus with no headphones

I always find very funny seeing those ads of people playing their switch on public transportation, because in my country I have to double check my surroundings before taking my phone out of my pocket in a subway, a switch would be gone in 2 seconds.

  9. How does he have TOTK when it hasn’t released yet?

  10. Lostboy1986

The first jump he makes looks like he’s living out his fantasy of ending it all.

  11. Why do Australian channels always disable comments? I notice this on their news channels too

  12. Night-Lion

A year or two ago, Nintendo ran an ad campaign which featured an adult on the subway playing a Switch. The tagline was ‘Complete your games.’

It’s one of the best ads I’ve seen for a console.

  13. Lager_Suds

Was confused momentarily when the date popped up at the end. I thought it comes out Friday, what’s this December date now. But remembered it’s not an American ad.

  14. meatboysawakening

He definitely has that “I have never held a controller in my life before” posture down

  15. beltsazar

Playing a 900p game on a 55″ TV must be amazing!

  16. mysticalspaceclouds

Is anyone else worried that it looks very very similar to breath of the wild ?

  17. ChippersNDippers

I’m sure this will be great but I was really hoping that weapon durability would go away. It’s not fun to switch between many weapons in combat due to low durability. It just seems like a gimmick that gets really old, really fast.

I literally have no other complaints or concerns, was just hoping that would go away but it seems to be sticking around.

  18. phizrine

Awesome commercial, I thought he was going to get younger as it went on though. Showing his inner child coming out as he played

  19. tcinternet

After all these years Nintendo still knows how to target me down to the seams.

  20. Zachindes

I feel like some satirical commentary on this works be amazing.

“He actually stayed up all night playing and never went to bed.”

  21. RandomAndReliable

I loved this video, great ad. I feel myself feeling this way sometimes and am really looking forward to playing this game. Seems relatable.

  22. justsound

He was a tall, thin, successful white dude, with a good job, and beautiful home. Which meant everything was empty and wrong.

  23. Whipping out a switch on public transport is a surefire way to get robbed in my country.

  24. As an elder millennial this ad hits me in the feels, adulting can be a tedious grind. Zelda has been a constant in my life since NES and I can’t wait to jump in!

  25. Internet--Traveller

This ad revealed the sad state of human lives.

Working 9 to 5 – a mundane existence, the only exciting thing is a video game.

  26. beidao23

That dude seriously looks like the last person playing a switch, looks like an in athletic person trying to throw a baseball

  27. OK_ULTRA

Honestly, as far as ads go, I love this. I work in the ad industry and it’s a pretty hard sell to do something understated and serene as this.

  28. Thorgrander

Relive the same map with a few additions!

  29. hectorarizpe

Looks like life has been hard man. I car either. His wife barely acknowledged him and just said goodnight. Didn’t see any kids. We don’t know what this guy is going through and his escape is the new Legend of Zelda game.

  30. dragonssuke

I find this ad incredibly sweet. I mean look how happy the guy looks

It shows, whilst the man is in his daily routine, probably coming from and going to work, that there are these moments of joy that make life fun and interesting.
It gives this nostalgic feeling of immersing oneself in the adventure… as if giving you a new/positive perspective on your life and the world you live in.

It also shows that the game is for every age group, as it speaks to the generation that grew up with the Zelda games, and that adults also like to play around and explore and like to be fascinated.

Hope for a Switch 2 next year so we can play this in 4k60fps

  32. Z0idberg_MD

“Gaming will make you not as bothered about never seeing your family”

  33. CatsyGreen

It’s very similar to the Japanese ad, focused on the nostalgia of a 40-year-old.

  34. Liquid_Wolf

Seeing him get home at night and start playing… I hoped he was taking a sick day for staying up late.

Nope… there he is on the bus, finding small joys where he can. Looking up at the sky wondering if there is more to life than the work he has known since he was a kid.

The smile I see on his face felt too real.

    WHO TF IS CUTTING OINIONS?

What? I don’t relate to this, you do! Shut up! Leave me alone!
