“Cheat code” is not quite the phrasing I’d use. It was a debug tool available to the devs, to quickly ascend out of a cave when they felt like going back would be a chore. Then they thought “hey why not let the players do this too?”

To be honest, it’s one of the things I dislike the most. It doesn’t make much thematic sense and from what I’ve played so far, it’s not really used that much.

It’s pretty useful, but hard to get used to.
The main issue I had was getting back down after launching myself to rooftops in the starting area, since you don’t get the hang glider till much later.

Everyone talks about Ultrahand and Fuse, both are essential of course, but Ascend and Recall are the true OPs for me

I kept teleporting out of wells because I forgot you could use this ability lol.
