– The new stage looks nice, is that the inside of Arowana Mall?
– The Super Scope is finally in the game (It took them long enough after 3 games with the Zapper). I can pretend I play Yoshi Safari inside Splatoon now.
– Finally a new stage for Salmon Run. I thought they were going to forget the mode existed after a while like in Splatoon 2.
– Humpback Pump Track is back….. yaaaaaaay…. another stage that heavily emphasizes center control and giving backliners free reign to shoot at the middle…… I hope they don’t nerf the sidelines that allowed to flank at least.
– The Challenges look fun, wait, FOGGY NOTION? I’m so sick of Fog in games after playing Advance Wars…..

I always forget Splat3 is a thing. I’ve never moved on and forgotten a splatoon game so quickly before.

Splaoon has hit that level of Animal Crossing or Monster Hunter where each major content drop you see the audience flare up and everyones excited. There’s so many active users due to the bonkers sales that you’re always set to have a good time when playing.

Splatoon 3 has been great so far, though it looks like the new maps continue to have very little verticality.
New weapons look neat, interested in the blaster type weapon. And I will never turn down new music and a salmon run stage.

Unless they fix matchmaking, eapecially in festivals and non ranked mode. I am not joining in sadly.
Getting jumped and dominated by a coordinated 4 man team, and playing with solo players is not what i think of fun.

Most of this is good stuff, but like… Can we please get some good clothes? The almost exclusively streetwear stuff is getting old at this point and it all starts to feel like interchangeable recolors.

What is it about Splatoon 3 that brings back so many happy 90’s childhood memories?
Especially my summertime growing up watching Nickelodeons “Wild and Crazy Kids” and “Double Dare” on TV after school ended for summer? The awesome level designs remind me of years spent going to the pool in the summertime with other kids and having late night water gun fights on our bicyles and mopeds around the neighborhood while smelling freshly cut grass and delicious barbeques all across my neighborhood. All while dressed up in bright neon colored clothes just like the cool kids did on “Saved by the bell” with our gel spiked hair and the girls with their long hot iron curled hairdoes and clinky bracelets.
I can literally smell the garden house in the heat of summertime sun as it tries to water my mom and dads lawn and taking my brand new Super Soaker 50 around my house and shooting at bugs and my sister and then getting ready for my birthday party at the arcade at the mall with all my friends and all i can play tokens as the birthday boy!
This game makes me feel like I’m 12 years old all over again…..I freaking love it.
