Look at how many times TOTK was delayed. Imo other teams can learn from that. They shouldn’t have put out a game without promised content and then decide it would take too long to deliver. If they couldn’t pinpoint a better eta before realizing it wasn’t going to happen with their current resources, there shouldn’t have been a release at all.
The disclaimer would be that idk really anything about either Overwatch but from the third party’s perspective, I think they launched this game way too prematurely if this was the end result.

So they stopped supporting ow to focus on ow2 (named a sequel because of the pve mode) and now they are cancelling that pve mode because they feel like they should focus on the live game.

Why the hell didn’t they just keep supporting live ow before shifting and wasting all those resources on ow2 pve? Were they so shortsighted that they couldn’t tell it was going to be too ambitious until they spent years working on it? What a complete waste of time and it’s much too late to fix the damage that’s been done.
We had so many stale years of the game waiting for ow2 and pve and so many people left the game during that time.
The events so far aren’t even remotely good enough to pass as pve content. Nobody plays the arcade modes for longer than it takes to finish the challenges.
