Far too late, once again. Why would I want to move my old dex into the SV when I 100%ed the game many months ago and have moved on to other games?
It’s the same problem every generation. They delay Home compatibility so as not to let people cheese the game with an overpowered party at release, but then delay it so long that the feature isn’t useful any more because people are done playing.
I have a completed living dex on my copy of Omega Ruby that has all of my old Mons brought forward, game by game, since they allowed us to in Gen 3. That’s 20 years worth of data I’ve collected and would love nothing more than to bring over to my Switch, but I can’t justify paying for a (relatively expensive) home subscription when I’m never actually given any opportunity to realistically use them in any new games.
That’s so cool. Do the games run at a frame rate that doesn’t give me a migraine yet?
I wonder if they fixed the spinda issue or if it still will be one of those pokemon that you won’t be able to trade regardless. Or if they couldn’t solve it and your spinda will have a different pattern than what it had, or a fixed one without the gimmick anymore

While it’s great that they are adding features to this game, even though it should have been available since day one, I think their priority should be to address the issues with the game.

This is random but yesterday some random guy approached me and talked to me about this update for 20 minutes at gamestop, he was not a worker (which I initially thought he was) and I do not own any pokémon games. Just thought it was funny, hope that guy is doing well.
I’m happy about this. It’ll be nice to get to play with some of my old Pokémon again. Especially my Greninja from X. She’s been stuck in Home for years, haha.
I love that this long after release and they have done NOTHING to improve the state of this game.

Not me dropping Pokémon for the foreseeable future as soon as TOTK released though. This came way too late.

I want to continue to play this game SO FUCKING BAD!!!! but it’s a hassle to just ride around on the Moaridon let alone actual trying to play it. How does this game get a pass and that RedFall game gets lambasted? Scarlet/Violet is 1000 times more broken than RedFall.

I cancelled my NSO and Pokemon Home subscriptions. I don’t have the energy or time to maintain my living dex any more. And without those I might as well not waste money either. I decided I’m going to play Pokemon the way I did as a kid: as much as I can by myself on just one copy of one of the games.
I gotta say I’m not coming back to these games. It’s crazy that TotK which is a much MUCH larger and vastly more detailed open world can run perfectly (I’ve seriously only come into like 2 instances of 1 second frame drops in about 20 hours in) while SV can’t. It’s insane that they think releasing a product in such a sorry state is okay. And they’re just adding more without even fixing it because people eat it up! Imagine how good a Pokémon game could be if they added even just one more year to the development time.
Too late, had such a clunky mess just to even get through the game to beat it! I’m honestly done with Pokémon for a while, at least until they can release a game at launch that actually runs and isn’t a glitchy nightmare.
