15 flinchers take on the Alola Champion Stadium (Week 142) [Pokemon Masters EX]

While flinchers are important in every Gauntlet rotation (unless we get some monstrosity like Uxie / Tornadus / Regirock), their importance is probably at an all-time high with this upcoming rotation, as all three arenas are susceptible to them (with Entei being moreso). Since I’m currently dreading how I’ll be allocating my flinchers in my streak, I decided to make this week’s CS clear revolve around them.

I hope you guys got a 3-star Tech Gyarados in the Magikarp egg rerun as it is such a useful eggmon to have. DripDrip takes advantage of the permanent field effects option here with rain, boosting Kris’s sync damage to even funnier levels. Hilbert hastened Kris’s buffs and appreciated the flinches as well with his below-average bulk.

I used Hugh purely as a flincher last week so I figured I’d go all-out with his multipliers this week. Tech Kangaskhan provides Defense debuffs while Falkner hastens buffs and gives the support EX boost. I originally had Classic Giovanni here but his Fighting weakness was a pain to work with.

Eagerly awaiting for Tate’s EX as he’s definitely an instant promote for me. He made physical Psychic damage cool before SS Lana did. He gets help from Will here, who also has Confuse Ray as a more reliable way of activating Tate’s multipliers, with Classic Giovanni completing his buffs.

I could’ve technically used SS Cyrus for Dark Zone but I only realized it after doing this clear lol. At least SlySly got a chance in the spotlight instead.

Since this stage has the increased additional effects parameter, I made sure to use either units with Staggering or those with flinch rates no greater than 40% since I didn’t want it to be a permaflinch clear. Ended up with Champion Iris and Sonia as the core with Plumeria providing the flinches. Rolling Pinpoint Entry 2 on her was one of my best decisions hahaha.
