    I liked the first game ok, but it just made me sad that nobody has made a really good open world mech rpg, not since Steambot Chronicles/Bumpy Trot for PS2

    So this is going to be competing with Armored Core 6, the long-awaited continuation of the franchise that Daemon X Machina is based on.

    Armored Core isn’t going to be on Switch, but still… not looking good for DxM.

    I really hope they address the number one feedback literally everyone had playing the first game- that the plot and characters were absolutely awful. Pretty good Armored Core-lite, with some neat mechanics of its own. But man, sitting through that nonsensical story as dozens upon dozens of characters I could barely memorize went on and on about shit I didn’t care about was pure agony.

    If the original EVER went on a big sale I’d bite. It looks interesting enough, but the reviews are so mid that I can’t justify paying for it. Hopefully this one is more than just cool concept.

    Man I bought the original game a long time ago and still haven’t gotten a chance to play it yet. Lol.

    Hopefully they improve the sound design while they are at it. Typically I am not huge into sound design for games, but when I want to play a mech game, I really want to hear that metal on metal clashing and gunfire. The first game didn’t do very well with it.

    Big DxM fan, loved it. I’m happy that the last time we see DxM won’t be >!No More Heroes 3’s end credits!<

    Played the first game on Switch. Was basically unplayable with how ugly it was and how bad the fps was. PC it was very fun and runs 144 fps on toasters. I expect the sequel will be the same

    I enjoyed the last one and I’m really hyped for this. Loved the combat and art direction so I’ll definitely be getting this.

    I love the gameplay and customization a ton. I like that I get an actual “human” character to pilot with, and body mods that add a bit of body-horror type themes to it. So much was right but dang what a mid-ass story.

    I love the cel-shading and style. A story with great twists that’s not just good vs evil would be great. Also more realism like a shaking camera when shooting so we can feel whe’re shooting huge bullets and the weight of the mechas. It’s funny how a couple details can make you feel the machines are huge and heavy. In the first game they feel so light, like toys almost.
