I played maybe 8 hours of BoTw. I am already 35+ into ToTk. This game is so great. Easily climbing to the top of my favorite of all time list. I am going to go back through BoTw after I finish this. There are so many different ways to do things it makes the experience like an old school choose your own adventure book for each player.

I find it amazing that they’ve managed to reinvent the game while still using the same map, locations, characters and other assets. It’s familiar enough to know what to do and different enough to all need exploring. I would take a third installment, in a couple of years, after I’ve played the heck out of this ~

Guess that makes up for all the shit they didn’t release for Zelda’s 35th anniversary…

I sound like a broken record. I’m not even a huge Zelda fan/gamer in general, and I can’t stop singing praises for this game to literally anyone I talk to.

Jesus FUCK that’s a hell of an accolade. DAMNNNN

So what’s the fastest best selling game of all time? This definitely has a chance to be it given the installed base of the Switch.

It’s genuinely in the running for goat status. I mean anytime you’re talking greatest games of all time whatever is considered the best Zelda at that time will be in the discussion. But this game is seriously impressive. I’m so interested in how they will follow up on it in a few years. It’s almost like smash ultimate where you sort of have a sense that there is nowhere else to go.

This record doesn’t seem to make sense. Nintendo never said in any reports that TOTK was their biggest launch, so it likely sold a slight bit less than Pokémon SV. It’s definitely Nintendo EPD’s biggest launch, and the highest grossing overall for Nintendo, but even the previous record holder being smash ultimate makes no sense.

Zelda always played second fiddle to Mario, glad to see it getting the success it deserves

Truezelda punching air right now

Awesome!
I was worried that the sales wouldn’t match Breath of the Wild, but it looks like I’m wrong.

I sure hope all the people who cried that this was just DLC are feeling very stupid.
Actually you know what, I hope they are just playing an amazing game. After a small moment of shame.

Yea cause it’s dope

This is extremely incorrect lmao

How would they know this if Nintendo only gave the info about the first 3 days sales? They didnt even give the exact number.

I’ve always thought all the people who were calling BOTW the best Nintendo game of all time and the second best game of the Heisei Period were jumping the gun a bit. TOTK seems to prove that. At least so far. No hate on the games by the way. I just thought the way everyone spoke about BOTW was a bit premature. By all accounts TOTK is one-upping it.

Thank god it passed Pokémon.

We’re never getting prime 4 are we?

Just looked it up in the settings menu; I’ve been playing for over 55 hours. I’ve only now just begun visiting the 4 spots on the map that are marked for you. It’s felt like *maybe* 10 hours to me. I love this game.

Buying games, even from a franchise you really like, is a gamble sometimes. I usually wait for some review just to be sure. But Zelda? Shit. Not a soul could have expected that to not be anything but amazing. Never been so sure of a buy in my life.
The_Junk_Yard_King
Pretty sure the e store said the game was sold out at one point
CaptainSmeg
100 hours, 2 dungeons and 118 shrines and I still feel like I’m still scratching the surface.
Struggle-Free
Zelda has been in my life since the original on the Nintendo. I have loved so many of them, but Link to the Past has always been my favorite. Until now that is, I am only 70 hours or so in but I have barely scratched the game. If this wonder and adventure and exploration kee steady through the game, I am not sure LttP can stay king of the hill much longer.

Only video game I’ve bought two copies of and still haven’t been able to play because my wife and kid are playing it constantly on both switches
Individual-Novel9848
But but but I was told that the fact it leaked weeks ahead of release meant it was doomed to be a failure, pirates were going to cause Nintendo to fail and the the sky was going to fall.
