Tilt n Tumble’s actually really cool to see. iirc that one’s supposed to be kinda rough on unofficial emulators, so I’ll be interested to see how well it works here.
And it’s rad to see a Harvest Moon game make it on the international NSO. So far they’ve been Japan-only, but when I saw a Harvest Moon game get added to PS+ a couple weeks ago, I got kinda optimisitc that it meant they figured out whatever rights issues were holding things up and I’m glad I was right. Now put Friends of Mineral Town on GBA, cowards.
e: Also, Mystery Tower seems to be a previously Japan-only game called Tower of Babel. It is called Mystery Tower though on the in-game the splash screen; so either Nintendo went in and edited an old Namco ROM, or this is another “Nintendo’s just had this localization sitting on a shelf unreleased for literal decades and are finally putting it out” scenario (similar thing happened with I think Magical Drop 2 on SNES NSO, and obviously also happened with Earthbound Beginnings before they put it on WiiU)

Better selection than usual for what it’s worth

Huh, the app updates are available now, for once. I like that a lot better than them teasing the games over a week beforehand.

Wow, never thought in a million years that Marvelous and Natsume would come to any kind of agreement that would allow the classic Harvest Moon localizations to see a rerelease.
And Kirby Tilt ‘n’ Tumble was my jam back in the day. Always wanted to revisit it but my adult eyes cannot handle a non-backlit GBC anymore, can’t play it on SP because it’d be flipped, and the hardware can’t be easily emulated.

I think this is gonna be the best way to play Tilt and Tumble since as far as I know it’s not great through emulation and I doubt it’s better on an official gameboy having the move the thing around. Being able to play on the TV with a joycon is gonna be great

Mario Party 3 is what I’m really waiting for. But also, now that they have Tilt n Tumble, I really want to see Yoshi Topsy Turvy for GBA

Everytime it makes remember how much better VC was before…
Profanity_TX
Still no Mario RPG 🙁

How long Nintendo? How long until I can play Donkey Kong 64 again?
Cool now give me Harvest Moon 64 and Diddy Kong Racing.

Since there’s always so much negativity around this service I just want to be the positive one here and say that all four of these games are probably not ones I would ever think to buy on VC. However because I have NSO I will most likely end up playing all of them. There are definite perks to this system. It does need more consistent updates and the option to purchase games long term, but there is still merit to it. I have broadened my horizons a lot because of it.

Tilt n Tumble is a dope game.

I guess it’s better than the same Mario games being released over and over again. I’m just looking forward to seeing the Zelda Oracle games and Donkey Kong 64.
blukirbi
People be talking about wanting Donkey Kong 64.
I just want Mischief Makers (one of the games in the N64 service is literally made by the same company)
PipeDream2000
Okay, but Zelda Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages, Mario RPG, Super Mario Land 1 and 3, Wario Land 2 and 4, the Sonic Advance games for GBA, Donkey Kong 64, and pretty much every old Pokémon game from Game Boy to GBA. And while your at it, I’d expect DS and GameCube games for what I’m paying.

Anything different for the JP side?
Motorasma14120
we need all of the Gameboy Pokémon games

Love me anything Blaster Master but man do I sure want some Wario’s Woods SNES.

Could having TnT possibly mean a future spot for WarioWare Twisted for GBA?

Sweet. I’m still holding out hope they manage to bring HM64 to NA at some point.

Any word on the Pokemon TCG or Oracle games?

We want virtual console 😭

Finally, my virtual farm dreams can come true! Thank you, Nintendo Switch Online!

Kirby’s Tilt & Tumble is really good to see. That one is notoriously hard to play. It’s hard to emulate and even if you get your hands on an original cartridge, it is probably no longer working due to the unique hardware.
This also gives hope for Wario Ware Twisted in the future.
puttje69
Why no Pokemon gen 1/2 for GBC, seriously? Nintendo pisses me off sometimes

Good drop this month. After Mappy Land, Dig Dug 2 and Mystery Tower, I would actually love more NES versions of Namco games coming to NSO

Never had the chance to play Harvest Moon as a kid but I remember reading about it in Nintendo Power. Excited for this!
