Kind of fun games, if lacking when it comes to personality.

I prefer Guardian of Life over Temple of Osiris, the price is…not too bad, but personally I would wait for 50% off.

They are ok for isometric games, but I did not find a lot of replay value from them.

When we said we wanted Tomb Raider games this is not what we meant

  4. Freezy_Nipkins

Wonder if they’ll include the DLC Legacy of Kane characters?

  5. aruhen23

I remember the second game being filled with bugs and issues such as save files getting reset. Hopefully that’s fixed.

Guardian of Light was for a time my favorite coop game. The combat gameplay was ok but my favorite part was solving the puzzles with coop partner.

Awesome I’ve been waiting on these, I really enjoyed them back when I first played them, they’re especially good in co-op as the puzzles are reworked to require teamwork

One of the biggest reasons why I would love a new switch model or more powerful device is to play something like the Tomb Raider trilogy from the PS4 on the go without getting a steam deck. I know I’m in the minority on this but I really loved playing a lot of the ps4 ports the switch was able to run like the Bioshock remastered collection or the AC remastered games etc.

I would love to be able to play stuff like AC Origins, The Tomb Raider games, Fallout 4 etc on a more powerful switch model that can run ps4 games without a lot of compromises.

I really liked both games. But I already have them on PC and PS4. They aren’t gonna see another cent from me haha

You would never think it would take 2 years after announcement to port a PS3/X360 era game, but here we are!

  11. These are both good games. Fun twin stick shooting, puzzle solving, adventuring, platforming, and exploring. Plus they look pretty good.

  12. radewagon

Probably not what most Croft fans would have preferred, but probably the best fit for the Switch. It helps that they’re really fun titles.

enclave is coming out on the same day… enclave wins

  14. ShadowJoyConBoy

And they don’t include Lara Croft go, half assed as hell.

  15. AtsignAmpersat

They really should put the reboot, rise, and shadow on the switch. But maybe shadow is a struggle and they’re like fuck it.

Embracer Group’s first outing with the franchise?

I wonder if they will bring the classic games, the legends series, and the survivor series with that T.R.U.E. trademark from 2019?

  17. Airy_Breather

Well, the rumors turned out to be true after all. Not exactly the games I had in mind, but I’ll take them.

  18. QuothTheRaven713

Heck yeah! Been wanting to try one of these games for ages!

EDIT: Darn it’s the top-down ones, thought it would be one of the 3D ones.

  19. InfinteAbyss

    Ooh!

These titles though not the classic Tomb Raider action, are fun and are ideal for the Switch

I looked this up to see what was in it… and then I looked them up on Steam. The entire franchise is on sale on Steam right now, and I can get both base games for a combined $5 Canadian right now. I can actually pick up all three of the latest mainline Tomb Raider games for less money than this. I can get the Tomb Raider: Definitive Survivor Trilogy on the Xbox storefront, which is all three of the latest games, for slightly less money than this. I’d say this is probably not the best time to announce something like this when it seems like everybody is practically giving away these games and the last three mainline games yeah?

  21. abzinth91

Collector in me has to ask: some words about physical release?

  22. FiresideCatsmile

I was about to say if you have a kink for triangular boobs, this is the game for you but it’s not even the old Tomb Raider games it’s the weird spin off.

Never played it though. Don’t even know if it’s weird actually.

  23. ackmondual

Huh… I thought this would be the first 3 games. I do remember the couch coop being fun (played it *briefly*, but never beyond one session). I may already have this for Steam, but being I couldn’t be bothered to reinstall Steam ever since I got a new computer, and then got gifted a Switch, I’ll be keeping on eye on this at least.

  24. Love these two games, and they should run great on the Switch. I hope they make more Tomb Raider games in this 2.5D style

  25. JoJockAmo

I must’ve missed a Nintendo direct or something???

  26. BlizzardTiger2

As someone who enjoyed the first 3 on ps1 and then the reboot trilogy, Is this something I should go for?

  27. joemysterio86

I’ve never seen this before, it looks fun but what the heck is this?

  28. I finished the first one with my 9yo son. I sometime took the gamepad to do the trickiest parts, but it was so cool.

I’m always afraid about port quality. I hope this one will run smoothly.

  29. PeachyPixelMage4

Not to be confused with the Tomb Raider series. This was a side set of games. From my understanding it wasnt received very well when they first came out. But I never played these because I never knew these existed so I mean I guess it’s something.

  30. midwestn0c0ast

not at all what i thought it was going to be

  31. Lordofthereef

Calling this a collection seems a bit overzealous, especially when there are so many tomb raider games out there. Never played either game though, so I might check it out.

  32. Kimarnic

    OMG THE PS1 GAMES?

No….. the shitty ones that literally nobody cares

  33. 123littlemonkey

My son is 8 and LOVES Zelda. From the comments, it seems like this has puzzles and fighting. Would he be likely to enjoy these games?
