I highly recommend anyone that’s on the fence about 4 to play 2. It’s pretty close to what 4 is seeming to be.
I played 2 for the first time the past few weeks and it was super fun!

I might be wrong on the individual releases as I only see Pikmin 2 available for the $30 price. Unsure if Pikmin 1 is only available via the bundle or not. If anyone can confirm as I don’t have my Switch on me and was going off the Nintendo website.

The Japanese Direct confirmed that Japan will get a Physical release of both games in September.
Absolutely outrageous pricing for what seems to be the GC games stretched to 16:9 and rendered in HD without any texture changes.

Not recommending piracy… but at $50?!
On Dolphin you can even enable two-player mode for the main campaign (basically enabling the 2nd player’s controls as if it were a battle mode, but during the campaign) and it is such an incredible experience to co-op Pikmin 2. You can’t get that via these switch ports.

Prime remastered was legit, but straight ports for $30 or $50 dollars. I have $10 in gold coins, so if you had to pick which one: Pikmin 1 or Pikmin 2

Anybody who has only played 3 should definitely play 1 and especially 2. Imo they are much better games than 3 was. 3 was fun and all but was so short that I beat the whole thing on a 6 hour plane ride. 2 takes much longer and has real dungeons, with actual real challenges.

I have zero incentive to buy these at 50€ when Pikmin 4 is just around the corner and it looks like it’s going to have all the features Pikmin 2 had and more and with more beautiful visuals than Pikmin 3. If the pricing was more reasonable (around 15€, 20 max.) I would have gotten one of them but I’d rather just wait for Pikmin 4. Terrible pricing.

I liked 1 and 3. I never played 2 due to the different control styles. I might get the physical just to have both and finally play 2.
When 1 came out, it was the first game I bought for GameCube. I was so impressed with the look of it and felt it represented what the GameCube could accomplish.
