    Someone gifted me a GoFest ticket last year and I didn’t experience any increase shiny rate so I had to pretend to be upset about it since the person that gifted me the ticket was with me

    Keep in mind, details of the event (ALL of them) can be changed without warning, remember Niantic added that crap in the terms of service not so long ago. Shiny boost, rare spawns, all of that is not set in stone
