Yeah, I don’t care about Call of Duty. But it all comes down to how good a job they do. Crysis on Switch runs fine, after all.

I wouldn’t mind if they just port the Modern Warfare Trilogy over to Switch. With ad hoc multiplayer if they’re being not too lazy.

Just put the MW trilogy there and i’ll be happy.
They keep talking about this imaginary call of duty on switch that would do X, Y, and Z. Wouldn’t it be a lot more effective to simply port an older call of duty, like modern warfare?
I remember when my neighbor kid got COD on the Wii. That was rough.
Phil, we really just want Viva Pinata and Marathon.
The smart thing to do would be to release MW1-3, Black Ops 1-2, WaW, COD 1-3, or Ghosts. The dumb thing to do would be to release new CODs on it (BO3, BO4, WW2, Infinite Warfare, MW1 Remake, MW2 Remake, Vanguard, Cold War). I don’t see the Switch running BO3 onwards without serious compromises.
It feels pretty unlikely to me that the Switch will even be the primary Nintendo system by the time Microsoft will be in a situation to deliver on this promise.
Just give me Black Ops 2 remastered with all of the DLC that the Wii U version didn’t get and I’ll be a happy camper. BO2 is easily one of the best shooters ever made and it even ran at 60fps on Wii U. Just toss it on Switch and I’m good.
The weirdest thing about this acquisition drama is the fact that it forces Phil Spencer to make promise for Switch releases (for games they don’t yet own) so Microsoft appears magnanimous before the regulators as if the regulators would care that a game not on Switch continues to not be on Switch. And in doing so, he has to say things that no one would ever believe. The entire point of this was that their competitor is concerned that the game will be pulled from *their* users. Saying CoD will come to Nintendo won’t appease those concerns.
Just do a MW triology and BO triology and you will have BIG sales on switch !
