    This system defined my childhood, as I’m sure some system has defined yours. Growing up in Japan during the 80s was quite something. This was pre-globalization, where Japan would have so many cool advanced toys, electronics, etc. that we haven’t seen in the States yet. I remember coming to visit relatives in America and gushed incessantly about the great Nintendo Famicom. The Atari 2600 was still ‘state of the art’ in home gaming consoles, and I remember my uncle saying that nothing could beat it. It wasn’t too much longer until they realized the greatness of Nintendo.
