Probably right now, yeah. But as more people get over the platinum Kanto hurdle, the rarity will probably plummet. Still, grats!
EDIT: ….actually, looking into it, Shiny Mew isn’t even that rare right *now*, so I’m doubting even a hundo shiny being rare.

I’d say it’s about as rare as any egg hatch, research task, or raid encounter considering it’s a guaranteed shiny. Still cool as hell tho and definitely a flex

Definitely not the rarest in the game, 1/216 people who did the research have a shundo and a lot more people will be getting them soon

Despite what people are saying, I think it’s easily top 5 rarest. People forget that you have one chance at this. ONE. CHANCE. No trading, no second research purchase, nothing. The population of other shinies may be lower, but you can catch multiples of them. I’d take comfort in your trophy of a shundo.

The rarest shundo is going to be the rarest shiny, which is likely one of the hatted pikachus. The rarest shiny hatted Pikachus are Libre and Detective.
Libre – players only get 1 chance per season of even catching it. Apart from 2 specific seasons, the requirement to even get an encounter is to hit Legend rank in GBL. The shiny is only a recent addition, but isn’t guaranteed! With only a few thousand players getting Legend each season, and only a fraction of them getting a shiny one, the Shundo chances are dismal but there likely are a few out there.
Detective – The shiny wasn’t even supposed to be active, but due to an error, a few shinies exist. It’s entirely possible that no shundo exists for this one.
