    > I don’t think the development was chaotic. Chaotic development doesn’t end with one of the best games in the franchise. It doesn’t end with a game that has sold over three point something million copies. It doesn’t end with a game that won TGA awards. That’s all I have to say about it.”

    That’s a lie.

We’ve had multiple insider reports ever since Lords of Shadow 2 that leadership in that studio is at best questionable and the strong output is all thanks to a devoted and committed team that somehow has the mental strength to get past the bullshit and pull off miracle after miracle.

They have the potential to be a top tier studio if they had a top tier leader. I hope they get there eventually before their team runs out of steam (pun almost intended) and everything crumbles.

Also, the idea that the quality of the final product is somewhat linked to the quality of the working environment is deflecting nonsense. In every art form you can find excellence born out of horror.

Mercury steam is obviously I very talented team. Leadership issues aside nintendo should look into acquiring them before some else does. Acquisitions are all the rage these days.

  4. I think many insiders and concording testimonies depicted a bad work culture there, now, they don’t want to damage their relationship with Nintendo too.

Developers can be both very impacted by their working conditions at MercuryStream and happy (and proud) to work on Nintendo IPs
