Got my first shiny after saving a McDonald’s from Team Rocket

Hello everyone!
I’m a level 22 trainer. I played Pokémon Go day one on launch day but quickly stopped as I was in a rural area and there was nothing much happening here unfortunately. I still followed the game news and watched people like Trainer Tips a lot. Recently I was visiting family in Paris and thought to myself, maybe I could check the app and see what I’ve been missing out all this time. So I started to play whenever I would go out. My goal was to find one shiny before leaving the town in 2 weeks.
After exploring Le Jardin du Luxembourg for 2 hours I decided to get a quick snack. There was a Pokestop at that McDonald’s with a leader of the team Rocket waiting for me. I decided to fight him while waiting for my order to show up and to my surprise the shadow Pokémon ended up being a shiny! I never thought I would get one in time and that way.
I guess my next goal is to try a Raid! I’m thinking about raising my Klefi with Foul Play to fight Cresselia

Nice one! Also love the name for it! My French is a bit rusty, but usually pokemon’s names have some sort of joke/pun/clue about their name. Any idea where/what word the French name for Aipom is based on?
