Tbh, as someone who stopped at gameboy’s silver and came back to pokemon this year, the “shiny” thing has been the least impressive hype builder, 90% of the time they either look odd or washed out.
Like charmander and charmeleon look like they were washed with bleach a few times.

For everyone hating OP for not knowing Nintendo is the one who made the shiny colors, grow up. Not everyone has played pokemon or knows much about the games. It’s a game that’s always been more child focused anyway, just some of us, including myself, grew up with it. As such, they do try to reach out to their adult fans too, but it will likely always be more of a game for kids. I’m not trying to be rude here, but people need to understand that not everyone is alike. And for the people hating OP for not knowing the colors, just like the games, not everyone knows every single color. It’s a game anyway, a very popular one, yes, but still a game. Not everyone takes it as seriously as others, can’t agree on it, then at least agree to disagree.
