Played it recently and it was really fun though a bit jank. Really hoping we get a Spyro 4 though. If you don’t count Reignited, Spyro hasn’t had a brand-new game since Dawn of the Dragon in 2008 (15 years ago!).

It’s a shame they removed the all power ups cheat code from Ripto’s Rage in the remake.
Considering that collectathons can be like drugs for kids, this whole thread could be funny if in a few years they become oversaturated again.
And I mean this as a 2000s kid who loves them, to me this genre, much like Pop Punk in music, just seem to be as normal as breathing. The death of these genres is still somewhat baffling.

10 million on a (then) 22 year old remake of a late PS1 platformer always in the shadows of Crash Bandicoot.
So at what point does someone at least let Toys For Bob, who clearly knows how to create remakes that are faithful, but also make new games like Crash 4, make Spryo 4.
I was so down for Activision to bring back these old games and maybe make a new one every 2 or so years and instead they pushed them to CoD.
Dude when is enough enough. I just want Spyro back, don’t tempt me and then shelve it again after a decade of nothing.
I loved CoD, (just not my thing since 2015), glad Warzone is popular, and happy that people love ot and they make tons off it. But can we get more games than just shooters over and over? Sometimes I get so annoyed and sad at the gaming industry. Profits are good but I liked it better when there were hundreds of games and all were different.
Mini rant I’m just annoyed because I love Spyro so much. Spyro one was my first game and playing reignited felt like a true love letter to my childhood.
I don’t hate profit chasing I just hate when it becomes everything.
I was having fun with Spyro 1 on the Switch, but it runs so poorly I just couldn’t keep playing it. I’ve been waiting for a beefier Switch since then.
This remaster is fire
So tempted to get this on switch even though I already have it on xbox, it’s just good fun and a portable version would be pretty sweet to have. I kinda want someone to do a “The Legend Of Spyro” trilogy remake too, I don’t know what anyone else thought about them but I loved them.
As a PS1 kid who somehow never played these games, I’m sad it took me until adulthood to play them. They are fantastic.
Did they ever fix that one dragon egg quest in Spyro 3 with the two dragons that had 5 billion HP?

This is so tempting to get. Alwsys loved playing it at a friends house. Never completely gone through it.
That game so laggy in ps4. Couldn’t even hold 30fps. Maybe they improved but it’s hard to imagine it being better in switch
The studio that made this game will be owned by microsoft after the blizzard activision deal goes through. The same microsoft that owns Rare. For the love of everything that’s holy, please put these people on a banjo kazooie/tooie remake, microsoft.
Had a lot of fun with this when I got it for Switch on Black Friday a few years back but I couldn’t finish the third one.
But we can’t get Banjo…

That’s about how many copy’s Crash N.Sane trilogy sold right? I don’t think that’s bad at all. I wonder if Crash 4 sold ok. I’ve never seen the numbers on that.
I just 100%’d the first one. Very smooth play.
Shame they couldn’t be bothered to put all 3 games on a cartridge. Instead it’s just future garbage since every game only has the first world on it. Can’t even get more than 20% through each game.

It’s a classic! This was the reason I wanted a PlayStation as a child, Final Fantasy was the reason I got one.
As it should! It’s an INCREDIBLE remaster! (I just wish they’d left Spyro’s colors the same! My poor indigo-yellow babe! X’D)
