Mameda no Bakeru, Goemon spiritual successor from Good-Feel (who worked on the Goemon series)

This looks so freaking good. I want this game in America so badly, it hurts.
Good-Feel did say something years back about wanting to bring this game to the West, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

Yes! When I was a kid, I rented the first Goemon game for the N64 over and over trying to beat it but always getting stuck part way through. I finally found a way to play it a couple of years ago as an adult and finally managed to beat it! I have so much nostalgia for that game.

I would buy this day one if it made its way to the West. This looks exactly how I imagine the Goemon games would have evolved if they had continued to today.

Nice, I didn’t see that this game got a new trailer recently – it looks really good!

This game has been my most-wanted game since it got announced in the last japanese direct. I’m a huge fan of the N64 goemon games and this looks gameplay-wise even better. The music and setting alone are enough for me to import this game, but everything else looks really polished as well. Hopefully the language barrier won’t be too big of a problem. The trailer looks like there is not much story, so that’s good for me.

God I would love a remaster of Mystical Ninja 64.

Dare I ask how many Konami franchises received spiritual successors by their respective creators 😛 ?

Oh wow, this unlocked some serious nostalgia. I loved renting Goemon’s Great Adventure for the N64 when I was younger and I can definitely see the influence! Thanks for sharing this, I had no idea I needed it
