Donkey Kong Country Sample – The 1975



Hi, i was listening “Frail State of Mind – The 1975” and my brain stopped at 2 minutes cause i heard a sample that really reminds me an old donkey kong country voice or music sample. [(This one that start to loop)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?si=rGKb5bnMccemmzHE&t=143&v=VOkUE0OB7V0&feature=youtu.be) I’ve searched if someone had noticed it anywhere but i didn’t find so i’m asking here if anyone know which sample it is or if my mind is just broken

    I can see how you would think that but I think it’s the beginning part of someone saying a word that’s just being looped.

    This one seems like a coincidence, but if you want your mind blown, listen to “Antarctica” by Vangelis and “In The Air Tonight” by Phil Collins.

    Oh interesting, I’ve listened to that song a lot and never made that connection. I don’t think it’s related, but I see the connection.

    Tangential, but does anyone else hear the thwomp grunt in the background of Aquatic Ambiance? I’ve never been able to figure out if it’s the same stock sound or not.
