Super Bomberman R was terrible and overpriced. Why didnβt they make it like Bomberman 64 and the GBA Bomberman?
How much id it. I watched gameplay of the first bomber men r game and it was okay
you got me the first time bomberman, but you won’t bamboozle me again
If I remember correctly the biggest problem with R was that it had analog movement instead of just 4 direction as it used to be, which made it such that you got stuck everywhere, and bombed yourself.
If that’s still the case, they can keep this one…
EDIT: looked at the gameplay snippet, and it actually looks like they ARE getting stuck (character in the top left corner right before the hard cut after which bomberman appears there out of nowhere). Great!
Release Saturn Bomberman with online play you cowards!!!
As someone who loves Bomberman and even enjoyed SBR1 — I say don’t buy this game for single player or even local multiplayer. Online with cross-console might be the only saving grace.
It is “Castle Mode” (the only thing they really advertised) and not much else new.
Copied from my own facebook post:
>World design is almost non-existent. SBR1 had individual levels with straight foward objectives; SBR2 kinda takes a gated-world approach with a single world chopped into sections you traverse on a map.
>
>SBR2 has fairly bland maps with many repeated assets. (Which, I mean… is pretty standard for Bomberman — but SBR1 had some beautiful background art.) Many open areas, many cramped ones (usually “mazes” with enemies around each turn).
>
>Also, the entire story mode is basically an escort-lite mission. (At least the first two worlds I have access to because of the bug.) Losing your ellon companions isn’t game ending but it does make you have to back track to base camp to get new ones in order to complete some challenges.
>
>Multiplayer looks like a straight copy of SBR1/SBRO; the costumes look to be the exact same; the characters too (with some story mode additions, and somehow excluding Max). Everything is bought via an ingame currency that has to be grinded from online matches. — And I have little desire to get the exact same items I’ve gotten twice already.
>
>The saving grace is cross console gameplay — but with how little advertisement Konami did before hand, the community is probably gonna be abysmally small. At least the ads they did make were honest — doesn’t seem like they put effort into anything outside of the new “Castle mode”.
There’s also a game breaking bug potentially concerning 100% completion before going to the next world.

so basically it’s available physically one day early
Sad to read the comments because R2 is everything R1 should have been.
