I really hope this has mulitplayer like the one on the 3DS. Fantasy Life is one of my favorite games and one of my favorite multiplayer games. I played through the whole story and expansion, but the mutliplayer is what really solidified it as one of my favorites because I had lots of nice memories playing with my friends in that game.

i’m glad to see we can still put together parties of what i assume is NPCs, i just hope there will be as many as in the 3DS game

Controversial opinion: I think the 3DS game is overrated. I just don’t get the hype for that game. It was fine, but it was a bit repetitive, most of the quests were just fetch quests, a lot of the classes were reskins of other classes, and there were *sooo* much tedious dialogue and cutscenes, all of which were annoyingly unskippable. Nothing about this new game makes it seem like it’s a big leap forward for this franchise. And the aesthetics just look like an HD version of a 3DS game—it doesn’t look graphically impressive and doesn’t seem to make use of the Switch’s beefier hardware. I’m glad some people enjoy these games, but this one is probably not for me.

Is this game still happening? I have seen nothing on it since it was shown off in a direct ages ago and none of the brick and mortar stores have it in their list of preorders. My guess is it is probably only going to release in my region digitally. It was supposed to release this year however and despite October looming it still doesn’t have a date?
