We could already see 60 fps gameplay on the Switch version during the Gamescom 2023, but it’s nice to have an official confirmation.

This was a deal breaker, 30 fps for Sonic is just unnacceptable for me. I’ve played Mania on Switch endless times, and having that physical copy side by side with Super Mario Bros. Wonder is going to feel so symbolic.

As cool as it sounds you can notice a lot of missing stage details on the trailers of the normal game and the switch footage

I mean cool i guess but some are waaay more noticeable

But is it a stable 60FPS even when you have 4 players?

When nintendo and company have to confirm spec details on games… It’s time to upgrade the console.

I wonder if it’ll actually play without issues instead of being a mess like other Switch Sonic games

  6. Yes but does it look terrible in comparison? I’d love to get a physical switch copy but I have been let down before.

Did they ever re release Sonic Heroes?

The fact they had to come out and say it tells me that the game is gonna be very mediocre.

Played it as TGS, the load times on some of the levels was a bit rough, but graphics aren’t looking great on switch.

This makes Sonic Superstar the first (and only) game to use the Hedgehog Engine to run at 60fps on the Switch, which is great and I was honestly quite apprehensive in this case.

Sonic Forces, Team Racing, Frontiers and even the Origins Plus menu run at 30fps while on all other platforms they run at 60fps (with the exception of Frontiers, PS4 and Xbox One run at 30fps too), so you can understand why people were worried that SuperStars wouldn’t run at 60fps on the Switch.

Really pushing the bleeding edge, Nintendo.
