They show single player running surprisingly well, but there’s some lag when playing ultimate teams. The ultimate teams stuff starts around 13-14 minutes in. Looks really good for what it is. Hopefully ultimate teams can get better with some patches.

Honestly, I can’t wait to get my hands on the game on Friday… With this vid, my excitement is through the roof for me wanting to play it even more now tht Frostbite engine is running well on the switch

This looks pretty good. Not getting the MK1 treatment lol.
Like it or not Ultimate Team is the seller, maybe having the whole game in a portable version may be huge for the franchise in a Pokemon sort of way.

Is the game running at 30fps only?

Due to my Little Man getting me into FIFA mobile towards end of summer, and a portion of my work colleagues paying for Ultimate to play a week early on their Xbox X and PS 5, I’m now going to buy EA Sports FC – especially as reviews are rolling in and the Switch version appears better than expected.
The UT news is somewhat a Debbie Downer, as is lack of cross-play. That said, I principally want to be able to play FIF .. *cough* EA Sports FC with my Little Man on the couch.
I’m going to have to “get gud” as he will choose City, and I’ll choose a team like Luton to troll.
This may force my wallet open to buy a Nintendo Online sub to play against other Switch owners. ‘May’ being the operative word.
Normally buy physical, but cannot see the point when the game demands a further 9GB download, plus further updates.
